Just read the statement, tbh I'm delighted. Not that it's a ringing endorsement that he's staying, cos it's not. But that there is hope he will. I'm praying to all the gods right now, hypicritical of a aethist but who cares.
-
A lot of people's reactions are just knee jerk to some awful news, i wouldn't take any of it seriously tbh. Every single one of the people who post here (except our guest from the other clubs) cares deeply about NUFC, we may have differing opinions on certain things but when the Hull games comes around, I'm sure we'll all be 100% behind the lads, no matter who's sitting in the dugout.
-
Well I'm holding on to the possibility that KK has tneded is resignation however Ashley is doing his best to get him back. Of course it's highly improbable but I live in hope.
-
I honestly question your sanity over the last couple of days Yorkie. Some of your posts have been ridiculous in the extreme. NUFC will still be around with or without KK. It does feel like the end of the world atm, but we'll move on hopefully the new guy will be able to fullfill the dreams that I'm sure KK would have. s*** I'm already talking as if he's gone.

Kaka, I'm sorry but that's about the most niave thing you have ever posted, and that's a pretty low bar you've sunk under. Barton is not to blame for everything FFS. It's possible the sale of Barton was the tip of the iceberg, KK isn't that stubborn that despite not actually selling him, he still walks out. IF he has gone and I hope to god it's still IF, then it's been a culimination of events, it has not been a great transfer window, I was suggesting that in another thread and KK has obviously been fustrated with our inability to secure the deals we were pursuing.

Well just logged on. I was expecting this morning to hear a little from the events of yesterday but this is just horrific news. Hopefully it's not true, I'm hoping that everyone sees a littlwe bit of sense here, a Keeganless NUFC is not what we need right now. As I'm sure regular posters here know, I haven't been a huge Mike Ashley supporter, basically I wanted him to prove to me that craves the success the fans do, sacking or letting KK resign is about the worst thing he could do in that regard. I'm not going to hang the guy yet since it's not even confirmed and the truth is I'll still be willing to give them a chance to rebuild my faith, if the replacement man is of a sufficiently high enough calibre. I can't believe the next permenant manager will be Wise. One of the reasons Wise took the job was because he wanted to move out of management, if he had a desire to stay as a manager he would have stayed with Leeds. He also rather likes the fact that he can still be based in London, he could not do that if he were to take over. Ashley will want to appease the fans, he'll be looking for a popular choice. I think he'll go for Shearer personally. Despite our reservations about whether Shearer is up to the task, I think he's about the only appointment the majority of NUFC fans would 100% back. I hoping against hope though that we will not be in this position yet again, why oh why do we always have this bloody drama about us ?

Absolutely top quality post Johnny. Having read through some of the other comments here, I was starting to question my sanity for being a little dissapointed. I'm glad to see I'm not the only "mad" one.

Virtually nothing spent and the first team is twice as good as it was last season. f*** off man, honestly. Aye, we haven't signed Robinho. f***ing hell, what a disaster. This transfer window and this season is a time of stability. The finances were crippling. We've worked very shrewdly in the market, improved the first team without spending anything (the squad is a bit depleted but we have options to change things around so we'll get by), we've got some high earners off the books, and we look in decent shape imo. The squad is paper thin, you moron, we've signed two virtual unknowns, we've shown very little ambition bar the Colo deal. We have an injury prone squad, which has no quality in it's depth, that's a simple fact and it remains that today. I have very little desire to see the club run well as a business, I want to see it competing for what really matters football games. You can applaud the balance book all you want and laugh at what ManShitty have done, but I know which squad I would rather have and it's not the one playing in Black and White.
-
Well before today we had two gaping holes in the squad, creative midfielder and centre forward that wasn't shite or on the treatment table. Well tbf we've done something to address both positions. Having said that, i'm far from impressed with our dealings. I guess we know now what our target is for this season, it's consolodation, with the size and depth of quality of our squad europe looks a tough tough task, we should be happy with anything above 10th spot iyam.

You've been whining all day, sounds like its exactly what you expected. I whine all day, every day, why should this day be any different ?

Well this isn't the exciting day I thought it would be

you are the most miserable person ever. Bollocks, I'm way more miserable

I really don't understand why we haven't taken the opportunity to offload him, surely upgrading this position is not exactly difficult, the player offers nothing, absolutely nothing and is likely on huge wages to boot. Even if we get a replacement in that's a bit of a gamble, we'll save a bunch on wages.

Xisco confirmed yet ?

Actually rob lee was far from an unknown when we signed him. Here we go again on this forum . it's the same old s***, anyone that does follow the party line is mocked and ridiculed, instead of people just respecting other peoples opinions, because that's all they bloody are opinions and the "party line" is no way more correct then any others. Aye but you just said how you didn't understand why us or valencia would want this deal, then i explained it to you but you just ignored it. No i didn't ignore it at all, I understood what you were talking about, just didn't get all excited about it because of our history of loan deals and the obscure nature of this signing. But i'm a whinging git who shouldn't be allowed to express any opionion on an internet forum I don't see how our history of loan deals has any relevance to this one. Might as well say that our history of transfers isn't great either so let's not bother with those. Admittedly this signing is a little obscure but then so was Jonas for most. Jonas was at least playing in one our europe's premier leagues. Anyway the loan thing, is like your Uncle albert who always gives you crap presents at christmas, it it's expected, this time however he's given you something unusual some get excited hoping this will kick the trend of crap presents however the more cyncial like me know not to get their hopes up too much because the chances are slim. Just imagine that Wenger had signed him. Automatically you think he might have something about him. Because it's us, we're more likely to think he's crap. Who's to say what the truth is? There's enough of it not being a known player for us to be sceptical, I understand that, but I think we just have to have a bit of faith. Unfortunately. The thing is, having seen Keegan's signings this summer, i expect this lad to be good. Don't think Keegan has always got it right, he also bought some duds in his time too, Robinson, Hottiger, Hooper, Kitson, Darren Peacock ( I never rated him) and too a degree Tino, are a few examples of sometimes him not getting it right and TBH which manager has got everything right, absolutely none ! He doesn't make many mistakes in the transfer market but he does make them. If this lad is the end of our summer recruitment drive then I'll be severly underwhellemed, as I said early hopefully there's more to come.

Where am I mocking or ridiculing people?. Sure, I'm disrespecting people's opinions. But the opinions I'm disrespecting and dismissing are that this new guy isn't good enough when they've frankly seen f*** all of him in action and are basing their opinion solely on his age and the clubs he's been with. Frankly they're opinions deserving of dismissal. (And Rob Lee was of course far from unknown, but he was playing outside the top flight (And had been for the last 2 years), was 26 and had never been good enough for the top sides until then. We took him and turned him into a top class midfielder who went on to get over 20 England caps. All for £700k.) Were you the first person, to call people on this thread who disagree with you whingers ? The fact is you've seen fuck all for him too so don't tell me not to me a little dubious about this one either. Rob Lee was Charton's star player, he was getting great reviews every week playing for them, Boro were already sniffing around him. Yes his game improved when he was with us, but he was a class player playing with better players, so it was to be expected. If you hadn't heard of Rob Lee back then when he was at Charlton then you knew fuck all about football. 700k back then was a lot of money, in today's market he would fetch a lot more than that.

Although i don't agree with your reason or to be honest much of your post. I will agree that berbatov is way over priced at 30 million.
