  1. I said that after the Stoke game, and everyone here said he just needs some time, looking back that Stoke game was actually a high point for him, at least he was getting into positions to score, he's not even doing that now, waste of a space in the team, honestly prefer a "weird frame of mind" Gayle to him.
  2. They are a worry with their long balls, especially from set pieces, but think we've been the better side. Our final ball has been terrible though tonight, need to improve on that if we want some points here.
  3. Yedlin's crossing has been like his hair tonight, absolutely tragic.
  4. Not excited by that team at all, damn dunno what Joselu is giving this team.
  5. Clark at LB and Merino for Hayden would be my guess, but wouldn't rule out one of Joselu or Perez missing out.
  6. Did the clocks go back in the UK this weekend ? I was wondering why there was no team news yet.
  7. Think it will be unchanged but he could spring a surprise, like Clark or Mbemba coming it at LB. For me he desperately needs to change one of the two up top as neither are offering enough, since we really don't have a capable back up for Perez, Joselu should be given a rest and replaced with either Mitro or Gayle.

I liked this post in the: https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/stop-turning-up-only-way-to-let-them-know.1399421/ 'I won’t be going on Tuesday and selling my Boro ticket for next week. Had enough, can spend time with my son on a weekend and genuinely have a good time' fucking deluded git, who the hell is going to buy his ticket ?

Theu won’t need 50 points to stay up. Think that’s the high bar that is set for the Championship (like 40 for the Premier League). This year will require less than normal. The average is 47....Blackburn went down on 51 last season I guarantee they wont stay up on anything less than 45 It does seem though that there are more than the usual really shit teams at the bottom of that division this year, sides that look like they will never win another game. This could be a record low for survival points. FFS, the mackems have won one game all season, still in single figures for points through 14 games, yet they are only 2 points from safety. hopefully you are right but I've not got a lot of faith in the likes of Brum, Burton or Bolton turning themselves around and picking up points. They and Bolton should really be stranded at this point they've been that bad.

They got 9 points from 14 games we've got 14 points from 9 games, perfect symmetry really

LOL, that's hilarious, love it, no wonder no one bothers to turn up there.
  12. Just finished watching the u17 game, amazing, what a generation we have coming up, they must be psyched to be lefty in the capable hands of Gareth fucking Southgate when they get to senior level.
  13. I didn't really have a problem with the concept the first time they tried to rename it, but not getting any money for it is the only part of the situation I had a problem with, the name was also dreadful. If someone comes along with 50 million for the stadium name (obviously FFP loophole) that we can then spend on transfers it would be stupid to get so morally hung up on the SJP name, at the expense of that.
  14. I'm still not sure what there is to get all excited about in this article, who cares if they bid and failed for Liverpool, if it is true how serious are they really about us, sounds like a clear ploy to force Liverpool's hand, if anything the story has made me more nervous that this ones got no legs in it.
  15. So there is not actually anything new here, just that she's not going to buy Liverpool. Nothing's changed, unless someone can point us in the direction of something more substantial than this website.
  16. Until they implement some form a salary cap (which of course they never will), there is literally no way you'll ever get to that organic state of righteous improvement. Once a team gets to an established top 6 or 7 or steady position, even the odd cup win, we would want more, because we are all human beings, FFS we weren't happy until Bobby when we finished 5th. It's natural, it's almost impossible for a human to ever be happy when the end goal is mediocrity.
  17. The manager is key and Pochettino is excellent, but his career record shows he's not won anything either !
  18. It's taken a long time for Spuds to get where they are, and they've been making the right decisions, time and time again over that period. Even when they hired the wrong manager, Ramos, they quickly rectified that. They've done this on the back of all the money commercially it is possible to make a big London club. They've also won absolutely nothing during this period. We are not in their position and never will be thanks to geography and affluence levels. Trying to model ourselves on Spuds, will mean we are looking at a long process where we get all our decision making correct, still be essentially a selling club (which Spuds have had to be to get to where they are) and hope some of the diamonds in the rough turn out to be gems like Bale, Alli and Kane have been. They've managed themselves really well but they've also been extremely lucky (or extremely good at talent spotting) with their transfer business. In essence the only way to realistically be dining at the top table is a sugar daddy, it's a closed shop and that is the only way in. Spuds will lose Kane and Alli soon because they are still that kind of club, that hasn't changed yet, they'll get a ton of money of course for them, but if they get their replacements wrong, they are back to just existing as a PL club, which is what the bulk of the league aspires to unfortunately. Honestly, I want to see NUFC win something in my lifetime, I was one month old the last time we did. Therefore outside a lucky cup run, or a once in a lifetime, Leicester type season, the only way we'll ever get there is through a sugar daddy type investor.
  19. Wow brilliant job, Spain or Mali in the final.
  20. Yes you are right, dunno where I read he was on Spuds's books.
  21. Can't see the game but that's a hatrick for Brewster, hell of a prospect for Spuds.
  22. WTF is up with our youth level international teams ? Could we make another World cup final ? It's crazy that we seem to thrive at these levels lately, need a proper manager in place for the senior squad to make the most of this obvious talent pool in the future, 2-1 up atm on Brazil.

    U23s & Academy

Just switched this on, caught the last 5 mins or so of the first and the start of the 2nd here, they are all over us.
  24. He had that one great header against Swansea, that was incredibly saved but outside that I've never seen him use his head at all in our colours.
  25. It's Gordon Sumner 100%, probably in tandem with Oz Osbourne
