WOLVES are delaying a bid for Leeds' Jermaine Beckford while Newcastle United attempt to break the impasse over their attempt to sign the striker. Wolves are understood to have enquired about Beckford without committing themselves to a firm offer and the Premier League club are watching with interest as Newcastle work to secure his signature. A move to St James' Park is Beckford's preferred option — his "dream move" according to one source — and the Magpies remain favourites to sign him during the January transfer window. But they have made no positive progress since submitting an unsuccessful offer of £1.5m last week.

Great thread all people should think about this twice.. We had potentially and on the wages a the fifith best team last year yet where did we end up 18th..... We all complaine about our players I dunno what the Geordie people think about. Unless we give our players a support 100% we can not get any better. Are you for real? You don't think he's better than Taylor? Senderos is a mid-table premiership defender in my view. Not at all, Taylor any day for me..... I don't know how we underestimate our players. If we get two top midfielders with all our players we can easily finish in top ten in PL next year.
