Even if City win their case, I'm not convinced PIF will suddenly inflate our income with sponsorships. The lack of progress on the stadium and training facilities suggests to me they're now content to be a 4-7th outfit. If they truly wanted us at the top, think we'd at least have world class training facility in for planning by now and be loaded up on as many sponsors as possible.

We were rock bottom in terms on infrastructure spending. I remember the refs changing room was dilapidated at one point. The stonework on the ground was also left to decay, and rather than maintain, he just had it all painted black. His net contribution was probably negative overall, as our commercial income remained almost static (plunging in inflationary terms) under his ownership, whereas everyone elses doubles or trebled. Instead, he plastered our ground with Sports Direct signage which didn't bring the club a penny.

Probably won't add much value to their investment I suppose. If we were able to challenge at the very top it wouldn't then make sense. As it is, PSR and FFP will likely leave us drifting around 4-7th.

Without a major sponsorship boost, can we even afford it? I'd be surprised if we spend more than £60-70 following the Hall signing, meaning £100m in total. Otherwise we risk another PSR crisis.
