  1. starting to look like the ridiculous decision the rest of the country said it was Be careful what you say though. There's still a lot of people who refuse to believe he's out of his depth. He's still the Messiah apparently...
  2. Why the f*ck we brought Keegan in I'll never know. Relegation beckons.
  3. Reading are probably much too shitter for us to go down, but for the love of God Ashley, swallow your pride and dump Keegan ASAP please. I still cannot believe we f*cking went for him. F*cking joke, we are.
  4. You are a f****** idiot. Keegan inherited the team and players from Sam Allardyce. He did not make any purchase of a player he wants to get the club forward. Knee-jerk. No knee-jerk here. I've held the same line ever since his appointment was announced. It was a monumental and hugely embarrassing f*** up IMO. Keegan is out of his depth.
  5. I can't believe people expected Keegan to still be some miracle worker. Get him fucking out and put Wise in his place.
  6. Keegan, please do the honourable thing and just walk away from this club. You've had your time here, and that was many years ago. Nicky Butt and Alan Smith. Just simply fuck off.
  7. May as well get it over with. http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/42785000/jpg/_42785705_ronaldo300.jpg http://www.abc.net.au/reslib/200710/r189366_710012.jpg http://www.goal.com/images/13507_news.jpg Hope this helps with the mental preperation
  8. Got Manchester United fans sitting either side of me at work. The one on the left is from Chester-le-Street, and "prefers" them to Sunderland. The one the right is from Croatia.
  9. I see Bobby's profile is the front page feature article on Wikipedia, but some sad mackem* c*** has sabotaged it. *probably a mackem
  10. I always thought he would fail, but I pray to God this doesn't get worse. It feels like the whole cycle is starting again. Keegan out at the end of the season and another man in.
  11. Still the same - very disappointed. I was more excited when Wise's arrival was announced. The game has changed, the opposition are more tactically astute and technically capable. Keegan will be found wanting IMO, just as he was with England.
  12. I see the times have re-submitted last years 'Racist slurs of Newcastle fans fuels Mido' article on Newsnow.co.uk. Wankers.
  13. I see the Telegraph's business editor had a dig yesterday It was a short piece on how you can bet on "the joke known as Newcastle United FC" total Premiership spoint count against the value of Northern Rock shares.
  14. I lived there for a year, and can confirm it's a total sh*thole. The only upside was the strip club ST1 in Hanley.
  15. Today seems almost like a desperate and reluctant acceptance that this club cannot compete regularly at the highest level. So let's just put our fingers in our ears and pretend instead.
  16. From another thread... And... Maybe I don't spend enough time on here to truly gauge the thoughts and opinions of the NO regulars. But doesn't this appointment go against everything we've clamoured for and criticised? We've clamoured for a tactically astute, and preferably foreign (through lack of English?) manager with the reputation to attract players from across the continent, someone capable of rising above the pressure and taking on the likes of Fergie and Wenger. Think Hitzfield, or Dechamps even. Then we've criticized Oliver for 'miss-representing' the fans in his calls for a manager with an understanding of the Geordie culture, or the kids you see screaming on SSN supposedly embarrassing the club. I can't help but feel we're being blinded by sentiment. Keegan had his time here and this is another step back IMO.
  17. I'm shocked to see so many on this forum supporting this move. I honestly expected this opposite. To me, the return of Keegan reinforces the outside perception that this club is currently shackled by sentiment and delusion - that only those with an 'understanding' and 'feel' for the Geordie Nation need apply, as the despicable Alan Oliver often reminds us. Keegan had his time and failed. He rode the crest of wave then came crashing back down, unable to deal with the pressure. He was soon found wanting (tactically) at international level. But I naturally wish him well and hope that he does turn us around.
  18. You've really got to question the judgement of Mort and Ashley. Seems they've caved into fan sentiment. Other clubs fans must be pissing themselves laughing at this.
  19. F****** hell. Absolutely devastated. If this is what the majority of fans want, then perhaps we are a bunch of deluded muppets after all. He's had his time here. (my Mam's now on the phone. It's a "f****** joke" apparently )
