  1. The fact he hasn't come steaming in to shut this down is indeed very suspicious. Good sign for sure.
  2. There was never any talk that there had to be an agreement with Botman and his camp before we could then table a bid. I don't recall any talk of Botman wanting to wait for Milan, and not giving us the go ahead to bid, which we then did anyway to force his hand. Both clubs wanted Botman, he was open to both, and Milan didn't have the money.
  3. Absolutely ridiculous stuff from Ben Jacobs
  4. If the player supposedly prefers Man United, and wanted to wait for them, and we're trying to force the player to choose Newcastle by going in with a bid to Leipzig, surely that would piss off the player? Would we really do that? Especially considering Howe's whole thing of only wanting players that are interested in joining us? It's just not really adding up. If we've been in talks with his camp, surely they must have given some indication that he is up for the move. If not we'd really be setting ourselves up, and with all that's already gone on this summer, that would be really surprising.
  5. Nah, this guy is changing the whole narrative. The past week we've been told both clubs were talking to his reps and presenting their project, and once he gave the go ahead then a bid would go in. God ... these journalists are a complete and utter joke.
  6. Thought Sesko had to give the go ahead before a bid could be made to Leipzig? And so surely the player has agreed to the move already, in line with the reports from his country, and so the formal bid has since been sent? Or am I getting that all wrong?
  7. Oh my ... they've already followed up with further confirmation. I like this bit, "A historic year for Slovenia, Šeško will be the new Alan Shearer". Think he must have liked the sound of that! Someone might well be getting the number 9 shirt.
  8. Physically and technically his potential is unrivalled amongst the up and coming young strikers. He's as exciting a prospect as Isak was. However, although I still think he'll be at least a solid performer from the outset, he'll still need some bringing along, and may have some inconsistency, and that means that we will absolutely need to have an experienced Premier League performer that is capable of leading the line, but that will also be willing to play a secondary role as Sesko emerges. Wissa is absolutely perfect for that experienced striker role, and so we have to make that deal happen if Sesko comes in. I do reckon if we are able to get both Sesko and Wissa that Isak will likely be sold. For me personally if we do get those two in I really couldn't give a damn what happens with Isak and his ropey groin. In my opinion trading Isak and Wilson for Wissa and Sesko is a significant improvement in our front line options.
  9. This Isak thing has been a proper eye opener for me. They've been awful. Can't believe people thought Arsenal fans were worse. This has been another level of entitlement and arrogance.
  10. The agent has been gassing up Liverpool and Fab all summer! They've both been left with their tails between their legs with that brutal rejection of the first official bid
  11. So if that's the case why not just wait till after selling more players and then just bid the £150 million. What the hell was the point of the £110 million bid that has now made them look completely stupid?
  12. Genuinely think that £110 million bid was a huge blunder. It's going to have Isak wondering what the fuck Liverpool are doing! Has to put some doubt in his head about the efforts they are making to actually sign him, especially after he's put himself in a tough spot with kicking up all this fuss. Just crazy.
  13. I keep hearing they're still under PSR by hundreds of millions and they can still raise all this money. Then put the damn money on the table! I don't think they're as keen on him as is being reported. Probably because of the injuries he picks up and how he fades late in games or something or the other.
  14. If these idiots are willing to pay £110 million now and have already spent £80 million on Ekitike, why didn't they just put in a £150 million bid early in the window to see if that might move us?! They can clearly afford to do so.
  15. Good! That should be a prerequisite to any move. Lets see how much he really wants the move then, and whose best interests the stupid agent has in mind.
  16. Selling him for less money probably works out at a similar profit to accepting these stupid bids, as another year of money comes off his book value if I'm not mistaken, and so we should absolutely go for that if possible.
  17. Think his agent has been gassing them up to bid for him as they could get him on the cheap. Also, if this guy is so desperate to leave why doesn't he put in a transfer request. Funny how these players are always so hesitant to go that far and lose out on some benefits. Clowns.
  18. They've never bid £110 million with no add ons surely?! My God That's an insult to Isak even. They should be using that to let him know that Liverpool don't think he's that good and so he should buck up his ideas!
  19. I'm not so sure that matters. I really think Isak's agent had Liverpool thinking they could get a deal on Isak after he instructed him to kick up a fuss. And it hasn't worked at all!
  20. Wow ... pretty surprised by the turn of events! Probably means we're going to have a wasted season with that git acting a dunce, but might be worth it for the Liverpool tears! If only we could just get in a striker good enough to lead the line and do the business while he sits on the bench that would be so perfect man.
