  1. They're taking ages to make any further sales. The time to strike would have been now after Isak stayed back and stated he wanted to leave, and it all blew up. The longer they wait if they have to make sales, the more hardened a stance we will likely have as there'll be less time to manoeuvre in the market. We will also be able to reiterate that to Isak, and try to convince him to go next summer instead as we would otherwise be in a precarious position.
  2. Yeah, I agree. And if he's really that pissed off that he has to leave then his option will be to Saudi for a year.
  3. We're going to agree for him to go next year I think, with a salary bump in the meantime. The fact that even with all of this uproar Liverpool haven't tabled a bid is somewhat suspicious. They don't seem confident it will amount to much. Think we'll add a striker that can step in and do the business if he's in a sulk and moping about the place to start the season.
  4. Saw that report and ended up reading about their offer to Mbappe when he was going into his last year at PSG ... The Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal have submitted a world-record bid for Kylian Mbappé, understood to be worth €300m (£259m), and are willing to pay the forward €200m for a one-season stay if that is what it takes to get the deal done. They were going to pay that much for him and give him that salary for just one season and then let him join Real Madrid on a free Maybe if they end up offering Isak a huge one year deal and the freedom to join Barcelona on a free next season they make something happen.
  5. That would be nowhere close to what they're saying Isak is asking for though. Can we not just wait and see what happens on this?
  6. But we don't know what Arsenal were looking to pay him or what he was after. Can't find the info anywhere?!
  7. Eh?! Where have you seen this?! No chance surely.

    Yoane Wissa

Yes Wissa! He knows the club is hurting and he's ready to help lift the place. Good man. Sign him up!
  9. And so begs the question ... who hired Eales?
  10. Actually it does Pivoted from Isak to Jesus.
  11. Liverpool had their initial bid for Wirtz rejected. Just like they also did for Ekitike.

  13. I didn't say it was done! It's just that putting a bid down usually gets things in motion typically. Liverpool haven't even officially put anything on the table!
  14. And yet ... they still haven't bid! You see how we bid for Wissa and it got things moving very quickly? That's usually how things work.
  15. After reading the Hope article I wasn't expecting that angle from Edwards. It's very strong. Doesn't read like something he's made up. Will see if the club backs it up over the coming days.
  16. Imagine if this ends up being the kick up the arse to get things moving. God that would be so perfect.

  18. Hmmm ... the Edwards article is far more interesting. Looks like a major show of intent from the Saudi side could well settle things. Need them to step up here.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Wait ... so are they going with Hojlund again next season then?!
  20. Man Utd inserting themselves into the Isak conversation is absolutely fucking wild man!!!
  21. They have to figure out those levers off the pitch at some point. If that means eventually taking the Premier League to court like Man City have then so be it. For the meantime all eyes are on what comes of the ongoing case Man City have, and so we'll see how that one plays out.
