  1. Yeah, think I'd lean this way too. I really like the idea of another top central midfielder that improves our possession and build up play. And I've always really liked Joelinton on the left, especially with a left back that is an attacking threat, like Hall is.
  2. Hypothetically, if Gordon did go there would you ... a) Have Joelinton and Barnes as left side options and bring in another top midfielder like Ederson at Atalanta or Conor Gallagher, for the first 11. b) Or just get in another left winger for the first 11, and keep big Joe central.
  3. I've seen some Liverpool fans that have started referring to him as baby Isak, as some sort of cope.
  4. If you downloaded the DAZN app for the club world cup, looks like Belgian football is also free to watch on the DAZN app without a paid subscription. Belgian super cup is on at the minute between Union and Brugge.
  5. Must have been reading the forum with that last bit
  6. Yeah, looks like McAtee and Bobb won't be around next season. I guess Foden and Stones could be added to the list though.
  7. Yeah, it will be indeed. We were excited about the signing because of the idea of him linking up with Isak, and playing off him in a more free role. Instead he's the main signing upfront at Liverpool. Going to be watching closely to see how he handles that. I'm not sure he will handle it well.
  8. Apparently Man city are struggling for home grown players? Heard a Man City fan mention this. Probably why they are going down this route with Trafford.
  9. Is that a decent source?! This could lead to the most monumental meltdown in footballing history amongst Arsenal fans. Surely, it's a ruse to get Arsenal to fix up and tie their deal up with him?!
  10. My God People were really saying Arsenal fans are worse than this lot?! At least Arsenal fans had the sense not to come on here talking rubbish.
  11. Your club didn't have the minerals to bid, because they knew he wasn't going to push to join them. They also can't afford to pay the right kind of money for a striker of his calibre, and so they had to fall back in line. Just not big enough to make those kind of moves.
  12. Ideally it would be shared, but the wingers they have don't seem to be up to it so far to the level they need. Unless Cherki and to some degree Reijnders really come in and are outstanding, I'm not sure who is going to open teams up for them. As far as stopping the counter attacks goes, it was an issue all of last season and they never figured it out. Even recently in the club world cup they were still struggling. Al Hilal knocked them out by continuing to exploit them the same way. I guess Rodri coming back should help, but it's not good that they are so reliant on him in that regard. Pep as great as he is, also seems to be incredibly one dimensional in his approach. Never really seemed to figure out a different way of doing things to help solve the problems they were having, particularly defensively.
  13. The funny thing is Liverpool didn't even have the guts to actually place a bid for him, despite being so confident his head had been turned, allegedly. So small time man.
  14. I knew this would happen with these Liverpool fans after that over reaction yesterday. So annoying.
  15. Isak stayed home because he's been freaked out by how desperate and thirsty Liverpool fans have been acting over all the speculation, and didn't want to risk running into one of you creeps out in public, until after you had blown your money on Ekitike and calmed down a bit. He was also disgusted at the fact your dumb club only valued him at £30 million more than you did that French twat, and so he will under no circumstances entertain any offer from them. He will enjoy his next season at Newcastle and if no longer than that, we will GLADLY send him abroad for less money if need be, to a club much bigger and better than yours.
  16. You seem to be having some kind of mental breakdown. You really thought you were getting Isak huh? Unlucky man.
  17. The Isak dream and delusion is over for you. Get over it. Go and enjoy Ekitike and pray everyday he doesn't go down the same road as Nunez did, because I'm not certain it's going to end well.
  18. Their current wingers have still not managed to replace the production they had previously with Sterling and Mahrez at their best. And then they have now also lost Kevin DeBruyne who continued to be their most likely threat at unlocking teams last season, even though he was pretty much done. Far from certain Cherki comes in and can carry the creative responsibility DeBruyne previously did. Also opposition teams fear them far less now, and have gotten used to defending deep against them and countering them very effectively, and they have been struggling more and more to stop those counter attacks.
  19. We just need to make sure we pivot to other options in time to get in the numbers we need, and this is still feasible. We are attractive enough to get players good enough to compete, even if we don't land our main targets. The manager's ability to get the best of his players and more is a big advantage for us. Our first team is pretty much right there already. We need to just get in a couple more additions there, along with some better rotation pieces.
  20. Eddie Howe is taking the lead on transfers right now. It's what a lot of people called for, once Mitchell was deemed to be the source of every problem. Mitchell is now gone. There were even some people saying that we didn't need a director of football and that Howe should just work with Nickson going forward. Our decisions on who to move for and how much to bid is being completely headed up by the manager. All this talk of the people upstairs holding Howe back or not backing him is not making sense. This is the Howe transfer strategy and so we're now going to have to deal with it for better or for worse.
  21. Oh I'm sure. I also wouldn't be surprised at all if some club out there is using it to advice on how to proceed with transfer negotiations.
  22. We should let ChatGPT negotiate the deals and all.
