City looking very good.
Hmm, not more to do with Liverpool's lack of team defending and not recognising/organising who's picking up the spare man from midfield?
I remember Rafa questioning Gerrards tactical awareness regarding playing him in central midfield, which is why he eventually moved him up to play off the main striker. Already seen a bit if evidence of some dodgy defensive work on his part.

Gerrard's defending just then was attrocious. Just let Milner nip in unmolested.
-
That was sexy.
-
Superb strike
-
N'Gog is quite woeful.

What the heck kind of team is Mancini picking? Adebayor on the bench, Tevez alone upfront and Milner on the wing? They bought Milner to play him on the wing? Crazy.
Is that avatar the guy you've just signed?
Yeah, Cheick Tiote.
f*** me, looks like he means business
He certainly does. Hoping he literally frightens Alan Smith into giving up his first team place asap.
-
And the De Jong/Touré/Barry magic triangle again.
Thought he'd then play Silva behind Tevez and Adebayor like he did against Valencia in their last home friendly before the season, guess not.

Thought that fell through due to personal terms? Makes more sense than RSC, can play on the wing too.
Think I read that it was down to West Ham only being allowed to loan two players from these shores. They've already loaned Ben Haim and are apparently after Van Den Borre also.

Caicedo would be the most intriguing of the Man City forwards who they will be allowing to move on. As others have already said not too keen on Santa Cruz.
-
another signing mental. Maybe hughton said to ashley
"can I have some more cash"
"Of course, provided you beat Villa 6-0, hahahahahahahahaha"

Saw a few clips of Fer when Newcastle were first linked. Seemed to get forward a lot. Very pacy and a really good dribbler too. So he certainly isn't just a defensive midfielder. Looks like he could definitely play an attacking midfied role.
-
Felipe Caicedo seems more likely than Jo and Santa Cruz.
hes gone to whu?
Doesn't look like the deal ever went through. Not sure how accurate that talk was.
Caicedo can play out wide as well I think, so would be far more useful.

Dries Mertens could be a fall back option if we don't get Ben Arfa.
-
I would never understand how we can spend 3.5m on an unknown player from that rubbish league that made kalou and kuyt seem world class but won't pay the 5.7m to buy a player sir alex, wenger and a lot of clubs have thought of buying in ben arfa.
Really i am struggling to understand why.
Are you brain dead?
-
Yup, it sucks really.

Really, promising player Perch. Completely shut down Downing today. I actually don't remember Downing doing a single thing. He's a fantastic athlete. He was selective on his forrays forward, but in the instances he did go forward he definitely looked decent.
I have to say the comments towards him after his debut at Old Trafford were so hugely dissapointing. It was almost personal the abuse on that thread. Crazy thing was he didn't even play badly on the whole, especially as he was up against Nani and Evra all game. Beyond a shadow of a doubt he is an upgrade on Simpson and Raylor.
-
It would be nice if people would stop second guessing every single one of his team selections! Because your clearly all freakin' amateurs!
"4-5-1, wah, wah, wah, wah ... "

my mam and dad are worried cos i just won't stop smiling. this is just perfect. absolutely perfect and i hope this never ends. i'm just so full of pride right now.....i really really love this club. and i know i'll never forget this day. WE'RE BAAAACK!

Andy Carroll is a superstar.
So, if relegation meant Andy Carroll getting his opportunity and going on to become this player was it worth it?
Interesting looking back isn't it. Carroll probably doesn't emerge without the disaster of relegation.
There's always one who takes it too far. Don't be f***ing ridiculous man.
Oh shut up man, you meant it.
Aah stop being such a spoilsport.
It's been a crazy day. I was delirious. Still looking for a silver lining from relegation

This Lucas character is a non entity of a player. He is of the same stock as Tottenham's Jenas and Arsenal's Denilson i.e. they all do a whole lot of nothing. None of them have any outstanding or useful attributes.
