Why is this idiot talking about Viduka and Owen saving us.
Two of the two biggest bottlers at the club.
f*** em both.
If Owen is fit, he will be a major help to us. Can score goals, and that's something we could always use.
I hate him.
If we are relying on Owen to keep us up then we will definitely be relegated.
He's our top scorer at the moment and before tonight had scored about 1/3 of our league goals.
I for one will be glad when he's back to be honest.
He's also a want away who couldn't care less about what happens to this club as he'll be happily off in the summer.
Started to be a complete passenger for a while before his injury. Obviously no longer gives a s***.
I wouldn't drop Lovenkrands or Martins for him.
Owen guarantees goals man. It's a shame there isn't a feasable way to incorperate the four of Jonas/Lovenkrands/Owen/Martins... we'd have a lot of pace to work with then.
he certainly guarentees 1 goal in 8, if his record before injury is owt to go by
And yet he's still our top scorer and has been for ages.
hardly difficult when:
a)he's our penalty taker
b) we have one other premiership striker in the squad, who's been out for 3 months
Like i said the other night ,If owen was fit we would have taken Bolton apart
That's ridiculous by the way. Owen is good, but no striker would have done well vs. Bolton. We didn't have one moment of coherent attacking play throughout the entire match. We would have barely seen Owen if he played vs. Bolton.
Owen wouldn't have torn them apart but he would've finished Martins' chances.

Fulham are a bunch of wankers.

What's funny is that if we play like this we could beat the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal as they have been extremely dodgy of late.
The question is will the right team selections be made?
It is absolutely vital to escape relegation this season.
-
If we play with the same pace, endeavour and spirit we've shown today, there is no chance we'll be relegated.
All CH has to do is not pick Shola upfront and someone has to find out where Butt is getting treatment and get down there and finish him off.
This will save our season.
Such a simple thing but do any of us have any confidence that the coaches will make the right selections?

Another good sub.
He played alright Alan Smith, went through a lot of work but looked visibly knackered by the end.
Still, decent game.
Smith and Geremi are a big part of the reason we have played better football tonight.
Smith is clearly a better option than Butt despite how much the majority despise Smith.
There is nothing bad Smith does that Butt doesn't do, and in my opinion Smith has more life in his legs and is a less ridiculous passer of the ball.
-
Makes you sick to thinkt hat if CH had started with today's team and made the same type of subs against Bolton then we would have walked it.
Really upsetting me right now.
Don't know what the hell he was thinking with Shola over the weekend.
-
That's a decent sub actually.
Hopefully Shola is done forever.
-
Waiting for the 40 yard screamer out of nowhere from Martins.
Whose with me?
-
surely this is the point of the game where you make a change chris, cmon!
Please don't ask for changes as he'll bring on Shola.
-
We contrive to shoot ourselves in the foot time and time again.
Game over I imagine. Expect another shortly.
With the pace we have upfront there is always hope.
I just wish we would have played this team against Bolton.
-
As excited and encouraged I am by this performance it breaks my heart that we didn't start with Oba and Loven upfront against Bolton as we would have killed them. Just threw away the points there. No point playing a target man unless he's a half decent player and Shola sucks.
-
Setanta say Smith up front with Raylor in the middle and Love on the left.
This is just impossible.
-
Nacho will come in and revolutionize football at Newcastle.
-
NUSC just kicked off their whole movement on the wrong foot with all the boycott nonsense etc. and this has caused major problems.
The decision to sell the club came on the back of those protests and during that period when the club was in limbo we threw away so many games and then JK was brought in to steady things and has now remained even though he isn't good enough. All this can be traced back to the turbulence that came about then.
You really have to wonder how things would have gone if things didn't kick off and the club just went about finding another manager the normal way after Keegan left.
-
The good ol' English penalty disease at work again I see. Five non-English players all score from their spot-kicks while the two English both miss.
Well spotted.
-
Jonas is way too intricate for our team.
He still hasn't quite realised how poor his teammates are and so tries to play too cute little balls in and around the box with them.
Just needs to be told to be more direct and play the bass early or shoot as soon as he sees an opeing to.
Not expecting our managers to be able to relay this information on to him anytime soon though.
Jonas for example in the Arsenal team would be breathtaking.
-
The current coaching staff are clearly just a bunch of fan boys.
They aren't picking players based on their abilities but seem more to be giving favour to the more "popular" players.
The likes of Duff, Ameobi, Smith and Butt you would all imagine are the sorts that are more paddy witht he coaching staff and so get in the team or on the pitch more.
Pathetic.

Hughton is Mr. PC.
Always wants to be polite and say the right thing and tow the line.
In reality he is a clueless, yellow bellied coward of a man without any ideas or convictions of his own.
-
The sad thing about all of this is that we deserve to be relegated when you watch us and compare us to other teams down there we honestly are one of the worst three.
-
I don't blame Hughton, i blame the dumb fuckheads that thought he could win a relegation battle.
Completely agree. The man's a coach.
I blame him.
If the guy couldn't see that Shola had to come off for Viduka then he shouldn't even be in football period.
Smith v Butt - craptastic midfield contest
