  1. Should be allowed the length of his current contract at the minimum. As long as we aren't in a relegation scrap I think he should be given the time to implement all of his plans, which go beyond what takes place on the football pitch. I think with the type of things he is introducing both on and off the pitch, things will only get better over time as these methods become more familiar to the players.
  2. Sounds to me like he is leaning more towards joining us and isn't concerned about the lack of European football.
  3. He could have been down about anything though! Maybe he was upset because his wife left him. Maybe he was upset because Jose Enrique is the new Spanish kid on the block. Maybe he was upset because his wife left him for Jose Enrique the new Spanish kid on the block.
  4. Now I think it is a lot clearer why Sam was so nervous about the transfers. From what he has said the pursuit of players is completely down to Mort. All Sam is doing is identifying them so he can never really be sure about what is really going on once he has handed the names over to Mort. Also, the fact Sam wasn't informed of his budget probably had him unsure as well. It looks like Mort has come through of late though which is great news, and I'm sure Sam will be more confident of being backed from now on. Very good sign of things to come. Looks like the new owners want to be in complete control of the transfers so that there is no more confusion or suspicion of the managers involvement in any possible bungs.
  5. Allardyce is definitely doing a good job of dispelling the long ball myth so far. More power to him. We probably will play that way a little bit more of the long ball when we get down to real business, but I'm sure we will mix it up sufficiently.
  6. Given is breaking down a lot now it seems Not good news at all. So who is currently our third goalie at the moment?
  7. They just got Sidwell so we didnt Well it certainly worked out for us then! We probably wouldn't have gone for him if we got Sidwell.
  8. Geremi is a star. It's funny how he ended up as a right-winger at Borough and then a right-back at Chelsea! Originally a defensive midfielder at Real Madrid and actually excelled there for them, and only played out wide for Real occassionally. Really excited that he is still so comfortable playing in the middle of the park and hasn't lost his instincts having been moved around so much at Chelsea. To think he has been sitting on Chelsea's bench all this time and never played in midfield for them. I mean, did they really need Sidwell? Surely Geremi is a better player?
  9. This is all just based on Anal's story from Saturday. Simple as that.
  10. Do Everton not have Fernandes anymore then? They didn't make the move permanent?
  11. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premiership/article2199404.ece Thread title needs altering methinks.
  12. No I don't think so. Maybe for Cameroon but not sure. I think he would be great though. Speaks English, French and even a bit of Spanish from his time at Madrid so he can communicate with pretty much all of our players. Also leads by example but also directs players during the game. He also has a calm demeanour and would be a good calming influence especially as we have quite a few potential hot heads.
  13. We were linked with the Porto right-back Jose Bosingwa a little while back, and I think he could be a good addition. At 6ft he has the stature Sam wants in his defenders too. I would be happy if we brought him in, especially at the quoted price of £3 million.
  14. Listen, small fry, five days ago I got into a fight with a pregnant woman on Regent Street. I'm tough in the real world too. You're a loser. I'm not taking this shit form some Invicta Toon rip off wannabe okay? Stop trying to be contorversial or moody or dark or whatever the fuck your trying to be. Your persona is fucking weak. Make a contibution of your own or get the fuck out of here.
  15. Who the fuck is Verlaine? Verlaine ain't shit! Internet tough guy. Time and place. I swear I ill make you regret your existance sorry ass biatch!
  16. http://sport.independent.co.uk/football/premiership/article2833857.ece What makes you think the price is a hindrance? He's f****** stupid? You're a fucking stalker and you reall ought to get a fucking life. Time and place motherfucker. Time and place. I'll fuck you up.
  17. http://sport.independent.co.uk/football/premiership/article2833857.ece What makes you think the price is a hindrance? Well I was thinking more along the lines that we have apparently already signed Jose Enrique and Drago, so I'm assuming he is no longer after Baines? And so maybe this was because of the fee?
  18. Whats happening to him is NOTHING compared to Albert (un)Luque Anyway, f*** him, we got enough strikers to cover for him and more. yeah, f*** him, he's only the best player we've got Correction: he's the best NAME we got, we haven't seen him enough on the pitch to determine if he can actually play and do something for NUFC. Correction? Name a better player we've got. There isn't one. How do you know that? What do you even mean? I've stated that Owen is our best player and you're challenging it without even naming someone you think is better? I'll give you best goalscorer, although you could even argue that Viduka is a better goalscorer based on their records, but I certainly wouldn't say he is our best player. His all round game is not that great at all to be honest.
  19. Weird quote from Allardyce in tomorrow's Independent ... looks like he might have been interested but the price was a hindrance? http://sport.independent.co.uk/football/premiership/article2833857.ece
  20. I know, it's as if people think he wants to be stuck here. If he had his way he'd be fully fit, score us 15 goals by Christmas and rekindle interest in him from the top 4 clubs. Look, I think people are just fed up and will probably deal with it better in a few days. I mean today has been pretty awesome and the last thign anyone wanted to hear about was Owen and his injuries. It's just very frustrating and so you can definitely expect some backlash for Owen. He hasn't exactly endeared himself to the fans no matter what you say, and so his only chance of really getting any support behind him was to start performing on the pitch. Patience is wearing thin because it doesn't look like he is going to deliver anytime soon.
  21. Him wanting a move away was probably the most selfless, generous gesture towards the club since he got here. It appears he is a huge liability. I doubt anyone will ever be interested in him again though. He is seriously tainted goods right now. Can you find a quote where he said he wanted to leave? I can find a clause. So what about your idol Martins then? Martins? He never initially demanded to only come here on loan. His clause is actually higher than the fee we paid for him. He is currently in discussions for an improved contract which removes the clause.
