If Jonas was at Arsenal and Hleb had come to Newcastle I doubt you would make that statement. Ironically, Hleb was allergic to crossing and shooting also, but is far weaker and has far less workrate. If Jonas had the luxury of being surrounded by the types of players Hleb was at Arsenal it wouldn't be a contest imo. There is a reason Hleb flopped so monumentally at Barcelona and is now back at Stuttgart.

JAY FREAKIN' SIMPSON!!!

I'm just happy with how well Hughton has started because if the worse case scenario occurs and Ashley decides to keep the club then I think he would keep Hughton in charge if only because it would be so cheap to do so. Although this probably isn't ideal, I would much rather have him over the likes of Kinnear, O'Leary et al. Lets see what happens.
-
This seems promising I think, as it appears that Ashley is indeed done with the club and genuinely wants out. It also seems as though things are very close with Moat also. Regarding new players we can only hope that Shearer has been told to look into things and have players lined up to be brought in as soon as this goes through.

O'Neill can't be right upstairs. God help Villa if he gets Taylor. I still think there is hope for Taylor but he needs to be alongside someone very good to be effective at CB in the prem. They already have Davies and Cuellar who look like they need to be alongside someone more dominant already! If Villa have all this money why doesn't he put a bid in for Hangelaand??? If he wants to spend less even Wheater would make more sense as he is more dominant and agressive than Taylor is, and is more what they need. O'Neill is really looking ridiculous right now. Started off so well too. Don't think he'll still be htere in a years time at this rate. This guy has hardly bought anyone the whole summer and for no absolute reason. What a weird little fellow.

PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE GOD LET THIS BE TRUE!!!

Very insightful of you. How long have you thought this might be the case? About two days, perhaps? Oh right ... thought i was onto something there. :-[
-
Suspected this might be the case. For some reason the club appears to be desperate to sell players and Taylor is one of the remaining who would get a lot of interest at the moment.

Urgh man, just Urgh. In some capacity, keep him as a coach is what he's saying, which I agree with. It's that kind of mentality that got Roeder appointed as manager... Don't be silly. Hughton was already a coach here and was doing a good job and when the manager comes I think he should be kept in that position. Roeder was already head of the academy here and was doing a good job and when the manager came we thought he should have returned to that position...

I'm amazed by this. Just amazed ... Hughton better be kept at the club in some capacity after this effort. Very pleased for him.

How does it sound since we've gone one nil up? Are we in control? BTW has anyone ever gone undefeated in a championship season. Arsenal of the championship? Why not?
-
Things are going so well maybe we should just keep everything as it is right now. Hughton as manager. Sell one player a week. Mike Ashley club sale extensions every week. We've finally found a formula it seems.

Wow ... I think I love this league!

Bit worried about Shola today as he won't have Carroll up there with him. Hope he keeps up his good performances though. Come on Shola!

I have to ask Ash. With everyone fit what is your first Arsenal 11. Fabregas has been class in that free role just off the front man but will he remain there with Arshavin, Nasri and Rosicky available? I could see him then moving back alongside Song.
-
Maybe Tuncay.

Are you guys sure we even have scouts anymore?

By the end of the season everyone will be talking about Defoe and Bent as new options for Capello's world cup squad while Owen will be nursing some injury or the other. For comfort his mum will read his brand values to him while sitting at his bed side. "Your still good looking Michael, and no one can ever take that away from you. EVER"

Moyes is an absolute crackhead. he's been shown up as an absolute amateur. This was a great chance to get money that was way over what Lescott was worth and hence been able to invest it all in the team and he has blown it completely. When you consider Everton don't have much money either it really is insane. Man City were desperate and Everton could have probably even got one of Dunne, Kompany, Zabaleta or Onuoha in return along with some money. This summer we've seen Wenger allow Toure and Adebayor to leave when the money got silly and we've even seen Ronaldo been allowed to leave when the money got silly. It's freakin' Joleon Lescott for crying out loud! £20 million! Epic fail Moyes. It's probably the first major thing he's done in 7 and a half years that I entirely disagree with, and think has been handled foolishly. Someone just mentioned Hangeland. Everton could have easily got him in after selling Lescott for £20 million. That would have probably been an upgrade too. So many decent centre backs out there.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha How screwed is Lescott now! In my opinion Moyes is an absolute numpty.
-
Unfortunately, this is most likely correct. This is the reason why we cannot afford to sell him. Otherwise, I can't say it would have devastated me that much. Taylor is okayish as a centre back really and nothing more. Not sure he'd ever be able to achieve Lescott's level at Everton, or even come close tbh.
