We were linked with the Porto right-back Jose Bosingwa a little while back, and I think he could be a good addition. At 6ft he has the stature Sam wants in his defenders too. I would be happy if we brought him in, especially at the quoted price of £3 million.

Listen, small fry, five days ago I got into a fight with a pregnant woman on Regent Street. I'm tough in the real world too. You're a loser. I'm not taking this shit form some Invicta Toon rip off wannabe okay? Stop trying to be contorversial or moody or dark or whatever the fuck your trying to be. Your persona is fucking weak. Make a contibution of your own or get the fuck out of here.

http://sport.independent.co.uk/football/premiership/article2833857.ece What makes you think the price is a hindrance? He's f****** stupid? You're a fucking stalker and you reall ought to get a fucking life. Time and place motherfucker. Time and place. I'll fuck you up.

http://sport.independent.co.uk/football/premiership/article2833857.ece What makes you think the price is a hindrance? Well I was thinking more along the lines that we have apparently already signed Jose Enrique and Drago, so I'm assuming he is no longer after Baines? And so maybe this was because of the fee?

Whats happening to him is NOTHING compared to Albert (un)Luque Anyway, f*** him, we got enough strikers to cover for him and more. yeah, f*** him, he's only the best player we've got Correction: he's the best NAME we got, we haven't seen him enough on the pitch to determine if he can actually play and do something for NUFC. Correction? Name a better player we've got. There isn't one. How do you know that? What do you even mean? I've stated that Owen is our best player and you're challenging it without even naming someone you think is better? I'll give you best goalscorer, although you could even argue that Viduka is a better goalscorer based on their records, but I certainly wouldn't say he is our best player. His all round game is not that great at all to be honest.

Weird quote from Allardyce in tomorrow's Independent ... looks like he might have been interested but the price was a hindrance? http://sport.independent.co.uk/football/premiership/article2833857.ece

I know, it's as if people think he wants to be stuck here. If he had his way he'd be fully fit, score us 15 goals by Christmas and rekindle interest in him from the top 4 clubs. Look, I think people are just fed up and will probably deal with it better in a few days. I mean today has been pretty awesome and the last thign anyone wanted to hear about was Owen and his injuries. It's just very frustrating and so you can definitely expect some backlash for Owen. He hasn't exactly endeared himself to the fans no matter what you say, and so his only chance of really getting any support behind him was to start performing on the pitch. Patience is wearing thin because it doesn't look like he is going to deliver anytime soon.

Him wanting a move away was probably the most selfless, generous gesture towards the club since he got here. It appears he is a huge liability. I doubt anyone will ever be interested in him again though. He is seriously tainted goods right now. Can you find a quote where he said he wanted to leave? I can find a clause. So what about your idol Martins then? Martins? He never initially demanded to only come here on loan. His clause is actually higher than the fee we paid for him. He is currently in discussions for an improved contract which removes the clause.

I know it's not his fault and I hope he gets better, but I really wish someone had come in for him. Michael Owen depresses me. On a day with so much good news this happens. Will Owen ever be fit?

Keane is desperate, he will probably go for Cole.

One of the Villareal forums also says Chelsea were in for hima t one point as well, and they were quoted 24 million euros

Agent talk! Nothing more to see here ladies and gentlemen.
-
I'm sure we will still be signing an experienced head at left-back though. Most likely Drago. Good to know we will be well covered there now. All we need is a youngish right-back to challeng Carr and we are well and truly sorted.
-
Sounds a promising prospect then. I wonder how much he will cost.

The Leighton Baines bubble just went POP!!!
-
Brown may play there tbh. Actually that makes more sense as Brown is more athletic and quicker than Taylor. You're right.
-
Against tougher teams the more beastly Drago and Brown at full back, and against less tougher teams Baines and Carr at full-back. Or maybe never Carr at all. Probably what is likely to happen.
-
If we sign Brown I would expect that Taylor would indeed play quite a few games at Right-back.
-
Agreed. the lad is a centre back through and through. Its not like he hasn't proved himself there. He was easily our best defender last season, it would not only be an utter cheek to move him to RB, but it would aslo hinder his progress by putting him there. Even more idiotic are people pairing Rozy (a lighter defender) with Cacapa who by all accounts is small, lightweight & injured quite a bit. Two soft CB's, yeah that makes perfect fuking sense. Taylor will play at CB but he will most likely be brought of the bench. To describe Cacapa as small and lightweight is so bizarre it isn't even funny. Have you ever seen him play? Rozehnal has looked great so far and is an experienced Czech international while Cacapa's experience cannot be questioned. As long as these two are fit I cannot see Taylor playing ahead of either. Taylor right now is a prospect and he will no doubt get his fair share of games but I'm not sure a first team place will be guaranteed for him this season. No matter how much of a crush you have on him

I see your point. However, I think Sam is generally disgusted by the fact so many of the players are struggling with his fitness regime rather than looking to have a dig at roeder. The players have probably been whinging about it and saying they are having to do to much fitness work. You only have to look at the strength and stamina of his Bolton teams to appreciate the effects of this kind of training and I'm all for it. You can already see the benefits in the players who have come through his fitness training without problems. Carr, Martins, Milner and Zoggy have all looked much sharper and fitter.

Two a day practices. I can't believe professional footballers can't cope with these. I assumed these were a staple of modern day professional sports, particularly during pre-seasons, it certainly is the case in the USA anyway. Seems Sam picked up quite a few things during his time in the USA. Very interesting.

With everything going on right now the best thing some people can find to do is have a go at Pattison? Leave the poor kid alone. It's not like he is an integral member of the squad and he is holding us back or anything. This thread baffles me.
