Saw an interview with McGinn before today's game and when asked to summarise Emery's approach he said "detailed".

Feels like a Bruce to Howe move they've made, PFM dosser giving them a slap on the back and telling them to get amongst it to someone with a detailed, coherent tactical plan.

Listen to this genius from 6:20 till the end ...

Imagine signing a ton of players on extortionate contracts for 8 years when you already have a massively inflated squad. Boehly has come in with his cock out doing the helicopter and the league has just chainsawed it clean off

You could tell he thought he was so smart too. I need the camera panning to him in the stands more often, to see his dumb face everytime they concede.

I did forget. Christ. What's the appeal for these players man...I get they're in London which is attractive and probably pay massive wages but what an embarrassing shit show of a club. If Potter is still there next year, he'll continue to rotate and make a mess of things. An elite player really should think twice before signing for these horrible pricks.

There was an article in one of the papers this morning saying they have been struggling to sign youth players now, as they no longer want to go there, as they don't think they'll ever get a chance to break through.

Staggering how Chelsea can spend so much and be in the bottom half of the table. Unbelievably embarrassing for all concerned.

It's so satisfying to see it not come off for them man. They are a disgrace.

Haven’t seen the chance he just missed, then?

Lukaku will have his moments of horror for sure, but he will ultimately score goals if he's in the team.

Nailed on they try all summer to sign Osimhen, most obvious signing they could make.

    Yeah, I see that happening.

Lukaku is also coming back too, and he would definitely score goals in this team.

Chelsea have definitely improved as the match ahs gone on, dominating the stats.. Looks like they have a goal disallowed here. Still 0-1.

    Looks like they'll never score.

Isn’t he on something like 200k? And has a contract until 2027, would be huge money all round. Talented player but I think that link is just another random link.

My God ... didn't realise they had given him that kind of contract already. That is mental.

Any player we are strongly linked too, he has a hard-on for.

He's at least 30 years old. Maybe 40. Perhaps even 50.

Yes, of course this is the extent of your mental aptitude.

Me simply recognising what a player might add to the team, and not calling every player that is not first rate, a shit player, and moaning and bitching about how Howe can't make good signings, is me having a hard on for them.

    You are painfully clueless man.

He's relentless. Takes it as a personal attack when someone says they don't rate a player.

It would be somewhat understandable if folk were criticising Messi or someone, but recently he's major took issue with people saying they don't rate Anthony Gordon, Eddie Nketiah (4 goals all season) and now Scott McTominay ffs. It's hardly a Ballon d'Or shortlist is it.

My goodness. You lot are just so disappointing, honestly.

Most of you just rate any player that has scored recently or is doing really well at the moment. It's not especially clever is it.

Anyone that isn't an obvious stand out you are incapable of fairly critiquing their game and any possible things they do well that they could add to the Newcastle team.

All you do is say they are shit, or they are a rat face, or they are league 1 standard, or some other bullshit that is so incredibly simple and dumb.

And when I disagree with the over the top assertions you then get your knickers in a twist.

It's people like you lot that were abusing Joelinton in the street and flooding his instagram with abuse, when he was suffering at the hands of Steve Bruce.

You are really embarrassing. I actually pity some of you lot man.

  11. Yeah, sure nothing is technically 'impossible', but I'm sure you understood the sentiment.

He's not going to leave purely because some other team flexes some financial muscle which was the crux of this whole discussion. In my opinion something disastrous would have had to have gone down at Arsenal for that to happen.

Kaka's getting too big for his boots.

Yeah, easy to say that now.

When we were first linked and I said I could see him doing well in Howe's setup and the way we play, out came the laughing emojis and assertions that he is shit in response. Cool.

So he has an excellent week for his national team, playing in system that is more of a transition style that is quite different from Man United's setup, that shows that he could indeed look a lot better in a different style of play, and so I fire back with a bit of a cheeky shot of my own, and now I'm too big for my boots.

Absolutely ridiculous. With all due respect. Get over yourself.

    Alright I’ll rephrase:

It’s mental to suggest any youngster will only ever play for one PL club.

Okay, fair enough. I guess we'll have to disagree on that.

I think playing for the club you actually support, that happens to be a top club, and one that you are leading back to prominence as the main man is the absolute dream. Hard to give that up IMO.

    Who’s changing the narrative…

    ??

You said 'Mental to suggest any youngster is a lock in at any club for the rest of his career.'

I never said that, so no idea where that has come from. My very first post on this whole thing mentions Barca and Madrid, event though I still don't really see that happening, but if he does move it will be that sort of transfer later on just like Henry did.

I don't have any dislike for Arsenal (or Arteta) whatsoever. However, that sentence is incredibly naïve, especially to justify your opinion that he will never leave Arsenal for another Premier League club.

    I don't think it's naive at all.

If we asked every Newcastle native on this forum if they broke through at Newcastle at a young age like Saka has for Arsenal, and they were part of a young team taking Newcastle to the top, and were being paid very handsomely at the same time, if they could see themselves leaving for another Premier League club, I bet a lot wouldn't.

  16. 1 minute ago, SteV said:

Believe me, Arsenal are nowhere near the top of the dislike list…

How many elite PL players have stayed at one club for their whole careers? Giggs, Gerrard (ignoring the MLS carry on). Anyone else?

Absolutely bizarre to claim with total certainty that someone with the thick end of 15 years left is guaranteed to be at one club only.

    You're changing the narrative.

This whole thing started with someone claiming we might be able to poach him when we start 'flexing our financial muscle'. Then talk of Man City poaching him in a similar manner came up.

We're not talking about him moving on towards the later stages like when Henry joined Barca for example. We're talking about him leaving when he is still in his better years, and him being convinced to leave in those years by throwing money at him.

In my opinion I just don't see that happening with him. He's already going to be incredibly well off financially and that number will continue to go up at Arsenal, because he is the face of that team and they will continue to pay him top money, because he is a huge asset both on and off the field.

He is not some foreign player with no real ties to the club that will just go where the money leads. I can't see him going to another Premier League club ever. At most when he starts hitting around 29 he might go to a Barca or Real Madrid for the experience. Even then, I'm not even sure he even does that.
