  1. Yeah, lots of great points in your post. The key one being the lack of space to run into right away because we are now playing with more purpose to take the game to teams, and with more of a pressing style, rather than sitting deep, which leaves a lot of running room to break into on the counter.

He now needs to adjust his mindset and look to release the ball very early and look to work quicker one-twos to then release him into space higher up the pitch. I don't think he quite sees that yet, and is still looking to just go straight into dribbling a multitude of players. We'll see if he can figure it out.

  2. Miggy has so much pace man, if he really starts looking to get in behind more it would make him infinitely more effective. Such a ridiculously good goal.

The little chest control to bring the ball down into space and the instant volleyed pass to release him is just magnificent from Bruno. He's looking like an absolute top tier midfield maestro.

  3. The guy is also showing how badly the majority of our players have been managed.

He's adding millions back onto the value of so many of our players right now, and a lot of them are actually looking like they could be valuable squad players if they do remain at the club.

Under Bruce it looked like we only had two players in Wilson and ASM that could be of any use going forward. Absolutely ludicrous how important a good manager is. It's a real luxury having a manager that can continuously maximise the qualities of the player's he has at his disposal going forward.

Aside from the exquisite assist he very nearly scored a superb goal where he flicked it over the defenders head and first time volleyed it at the goal. Didn't have enough power in the end but could've been glorious. My point is, he clearly isn't JUST a CDM or and anchor player, he's got the ability to go box to box and excel in both.

Yeah, was never on board with folks previously saying he should come into the team in that deeper role Shelvey had been playing in.

He has to be given the freedom to affect all areas of the pitch, as that really suits him. In particular, his ability to play a killer ball to create a chance, absolutely has to be taken advantage of higher up the pitch.

  5. Seems to be getting more accustomed to playing on that right side, which is really interesting. He has some great qualities, and really just needs to be more direct because he has bags of pace and is quite tenacious. Also just needs to trust his right foot as he won't always have the time to adjust onto his left (as was with the chance he should have taken with his right when Joelinton set him up earlier), and if he can manage that he may well be worth keeping around.

    Linked with Pau Torres.

Seems we're really getting on things early behind the scenes with our safety looking increasingly assured.

Appear to be making a lot of enquiries, starting with some of the higher level targets to start with, which is great.

  7. Arsenal look pretty set with both White and Gabriel at centre back I would have thought.

We seem to be pulling together a bit of a Brazilian contingent, and so I like our chances.

I reckon he’d smash it in La Liga or Germany for example. He’d also have to take a massive drop in wages though. If he keeps himself fit next season he’ll still get 8-12 goals for Fulham but there has to be a time soon where he gets sick of yo-yoing between the two leagues.

I think he should go to the Italian league. Can't believe no Serie A teams have come in for him. He would be a monster over there IMO.

The slower pace of the league would suit him to a tee, and the defensive philosophies over there tend to be more about sitting deep and/or keeping shape, and so he won't have to press as much.

Never understood why more clubs weren't in for him, at the time he went to Leicester I was desperately hoping we were in with a shout. I didn't actually know that much about him other than he used to always find a goal as a sub for Man City. I assumed he was just a finisher, maybe the rest of his game wasn't up to scratch.

He's actually an excellent all around striker. Mostly came up as more of a number 10 when he was younger, which is why he is so technically good, especially in comparison to the typical strikers we produce. Both he and Kanu are the most technically gifted we've had upfront for the Super Eagles.

We supposedly bid for him in January and he was interested. Obviously hard to know what was true or false in January

Yeah, I remember seeing those reports about Osimhen.

I don't think he would be against joining us, but I just think once the summer roles around, if he's made available the competition for him would be really fierce.

Aye I like him a lot, don’t understand why he doesn’t play more there. And I’d love another Nigeria here after Oba!

Yeah, I can't understand why he doesn't play all the time for them, especially when Vardy is out. Especially because he always produces goals and assists when he gets a run in the team, and he's also really versatile, as he can play as an out and out striker or a more withdrawn one. It's so strange.

And from a personal point of view, it would be awesome to have another Nigerian player in the team again for sure, and he'd be the best one to play for Newcastle by far.

  12. Osimhen is absolute top tier. Would be amazing, but not sure it will be possible.

If we're talking Super Eagles though, what would people think about Iheanacho? Think we could get him off Leicester as he just doesn't seem to be a guaranteed starter over there. I've also seen Leicester are looking at forwards this summer and have been linked with Joel Piroe from Swansea.

Think Kelechi would be a fantastic signing.

This is canny impressive like. Speaking to the fans and seems passionate about wanting to do good work at Derby.
Really happy that he's not got an attitude of only being interested in a Premier League job just because he's Wayne Rooney. I really want him to do well with Derby.

Wow ... this is really amazing. Looks like Rooney really gets it. Will be really rooting for him, and hope he can get them back up first time.

Pep sent them out to lose with the team he selected, and losing they are. Tit.

Come off it man. Can any team Pep selects really be considered one that has been sent out to lose a game?

Still have Silva, Foden, Grealish and Sterling out there. They've just been useless.

Son is absolutely mint, kinda a shame he's spending best years at Spurs of all places but he does have lovely chemistry with kane

It's been a perfect fit for him tbh. Doubt he'll have too many complaints.

The weirdest thing about Spurs is that they don't appear to be doing anything particularly special.

They're fully playing Conte's counter attacking system now, which is far more fluid than Mourinho's. Suits their front three really well.

 Kaka, ma man, you need to start reading properly. I just suggested that you need a mix of both, you're the one insinuating we should only try and sign bunch of wingers from France and hope one blossoms into a fantastic footballer. If we want to compete soon we can't be applying the model you are suggesting. We need to buy established players as well. A mix of both in other words.

I have no insight into clubs finances and the way they bend rules to sign players. That being said, I doubt they'd pay £75m for one player unless they began selling parts of their squad which has been rumoured. So in that regard you are right, however, doesn't take away the fact that many clubs would be interested in Raphinha even at that price. I mean, Ben White went for £50m last season no? And we bought Chris Wood for a like a billion.

No sir I did not insinuate we should just sign a bunch of wingers from France only.

In my previous post regarding Zaha I also said if we wanted prem experience too there were many others I'd have in ahead of him and gave the examples of Sarr and Dennis if Watford go down, as they have far more upside than Zaha and wouldn't cost as much in total i.e. fee and wages.
