Bale isn't anywhere near as explosive as he used to be physically, but his use of the ball and quality of his delivery and shooting improve this team. Should be playing more.

Reece James is never a wing back. Never takes anyone on and just passes it backwards all the time. Can see why Hudson-Odoi has been playing there.

Reece seems to be more suited to full back and being played into space the wide man ahead of him opens up.

He's looked so much better for Southampton.

Chelsea perhaps look better defensively, but going forward they are a lot less interesting now.

Tuchel not a fan of Chilwell at all it looks like. Looking like a really bad move for him all of a sudden.

 

Alonso is one of the best finishers at the club tbf, can see the thinking with their wing backs playing so high up the pitch.

Yeah, Alonso has been brilliant in this setup previously too. I get it.

It just really sucks for Chilwell, especially leading up to the Euros.

Werner should not be in the team ahead of Pulisic and Ziyech.

Even his passing is suspect. Not impressed by any of his play at all.

Nah Froggy is right on this IMHO, he's class  and will kick on massively under Tuchel.

He was getting numerous opportunities created for him under Lampard and was making a mess of them.

Seeing all these young guys do so well as managers makes having Bruce even more frustrating.

Bruce wouldn't have done anything with Perez and Rondon man.

 

We saw Rondon under Pulis and Perez under Pardew et al. and they were nothing special.

 

It was far more to do with what Rafa was getting out of them. Just like he would get a lot more out of the current bunch we have.

 

Totally agree. One of my best mates supports Albion, and he told me when we signed him, don't judge him off what you see with us, he's class and playing on a island with noone anywhere near him. That's EXACTLY what bruce would do with him

If Rafa was here right now even with Wilson out, he'd find a way to get something out of some combination of Joelinton, Carrol, Gayle, ASM, Fraser and Almiron that would get us enough goals.
