  1. He’s not useless but he’s nowhere near as good as he thinks he might be. That 50m to Man Utd story gave him notions, his head hasn’t been in it ever since.

Probably thinks he should be earning 100k a week and resents every second he’s here not earning that amount.

Wouldn’t surprise me if his brother was of the same mindset.

    Why would you say this?

He was making tremendous progress under Rafa and the owner sacked him and brought in a clown that has seen every player regress.

Why on earth should he sign a contract to stay here? He's making the right decision and it has nothing to do with him having ideas above his station.

  2. Pen that

    Yeah. I agree.

Really like Fulham. They play far better stuff than we do.

Said previously I really fancy them to stay up. The more all their late signings bed in the better they'll continue to get.

Parker over Bruce for me any day too.

Think their left back has looked promising than ours so far

    Robinson right?

Think we were even linked with him. Came from Wigan I believe. He looks good I agree.

  4. Yeah, I agree completely.

I mean imagine putting him in the current team that sits deep all game and can't string together 3 passes when we do get it back.

It would break the guy's spirit and he will not be out there charging about aimlessly all game trying to cover gaps and win the ball back, only to then hoof it back to the other team.

We have already now started to see the effect it is having on ASM and Miggy, who both look increasingly fed up with it all, as they never get to express themselves nearly enough in forward areas.

  5. Tottenham had a XG of 0.00 in the second half today

I watched the game and I'm not surprised one bit by that. Mourinho played for the point second half.

Kept them top of the league though. Considering they were playing a very inexperienced centre back in Rodon, who actually did well, it was a decent point.

  6. Very good player, I wanted us to sign him at one. RIP fella

At one? Our midfield wasn't that bad way back then was it?

RIP the wardrobe. Really enjoyed watching him in that Portsmout team with all those fantastic characters Redknapp put together.

  7. Talking about how Man U fans were wondering about the wisdom of signing a 33 year old Cavani, but what a striker you can buy if you don't worry about the long term. Hope we can pick up these sort of players if we get the takeover.

Loads mocked the signing, but his record is exceptional and he has always looked in great shape and not one that was deteriorating physically at all.

They didn't even have to buy him. The guy was on a free.

33 is no age really, he's probably good for another 2 seasons. All the more laughable that we wouldn't spend £16m on Rondon.

Yup, we're just a mess. It's beyond depressing.

  9. Think the guy is just really discouraged at this point. He would also benefit from a bit more direction on the pitch.

Under Rafa, when Miggy first joined he made a lot more runs in behind and was killing teams with his pace that way.

Under Bruce he drifts around way too much, usually in deeper areas of the pitch, which doesn't do him any favours.

  10. The one thing I will say about the striking of the ball is that most of those miss hits were with his left foot, which is his weaker one.

In general though, his balance and coordination is not the best and that plays a big part in his poor finishing, and him being pushed off the ball and falling over at times.

He does link play really well though and releases the ball to teammates in good time. Would have been even more useful if we had some pace and forward runs down the wings as well for him to thread the ball to.

  11. Maybe dramatic but I think I’m done watching our games while Bruce is manager now. I’ll just follow the score and watch those 3 minute sky sports clips at full time. That was actually awful today against one of the worst sides we’ve played in a while. There was absolutely no gamelan or alteration to a system that wasn’t even nearly working and this is every single week.

You can point fingers at Ashley for all of his failings or an on/off takeover but we’ve gone so far backwards as a team from Rafa to Bruce with an objectivity much stronger squad. I don’t think the players are buying into it anymore either.

It's why it is so frustrating when we pull out a result.

Because Bruce can then just continue getting away with it.

It was a shocking performance tonight again, with Darlow really keeping us in it and then 5 mins at the end and all anyone will see is a 2 nil win.

    It's sickening. It really is.
