All those teams play far better football than the current Newcastle team.
If the results from those matches end up reflecting it, and we don't get bailed out by some flukey stuff that happens during those games, things are going to erupt for Bruce.
The fans and media will be on him big time after that.

Good tough win for Man United.
West Brom were unlucky. Really did a good job of going at Man United some, just like we never do, because they're "the big boys".
-
Leicester has had 8 pens given so far, Chelsea and Liverpool also given more than Man Utd this season. Us, Fulham, Sheffield United have been given the same amount as Man Utd this season.
Wow ... genuinely surprised by that.
Every time I look up that twat is hop scotching the ball into the net.
For what it's worth I only find it this annoying because I don't have him in my fantasy team.
-
West Brom are significantly better than us.
-
Gallagher was fouled in the build up to that.
Yet another for Penandes to take. For goodness sake.
-
We had 29% of the ball and one shot on target.
What are the pleasing points he's referring to?
-
You'd never believe Brighton are playing a similar formation to what we have been.
-
Lovely finish by Danny Welbeck.
So classy

We'll all have the pleasure of watching it happen man. Sit back relax and observe.

If one of the teams at the bottom 3 start to get into form we are in trouble imo.
They will. I've maintained from early on that all three are better than us. Under Bruce we will go down this season.
The defenders are no longer scoring goals (like last year) and both Almiron and St. Maximin have been destroyed now.
Once the penalties start drying up, and Wilson can't keep getting those to slot away, we will be done.

Luke Edwards is a joke man
That was a tired and sloppy Chelsea and they just strolled their way to an easy win with no challenge whatsoever.

93 mins
29% possession
1 shot on target
At home
Steve Bruce's Newcastle United

St. Max off for Carroll!

-
Still no shots on target
-
Carroll the saviour!
-
This guy is still really playing Almiron on the right
-
The agent's comments weren't your typical baseless obnoxious ones either I didn't think.
You could tell he was genuinely concerned about Almiron being in and out of a team playing such disgusting football, and also being used out of position all the time.
-
Perfect picture
"You what mate?!"
-
That narrow right side position was perfect for him, playing off a strong target man in Rondon, as he's not quite a wide man or a number 10 really.
Shame we didn't get to continue to see that team grow in that setup, with Almiron finally coming in to take up the same position on the left side.

Assuming my frame of mind was as such that I'd wanted us to appoint as good a manager as we could, there's few more detestable people I'd have wanted in the dugout than Steven fucking Gerrard. Bloke's an absolute div. Loves to tell the media about how his players don't come up to his standards, which really grates.
Yeah, I can see that. I know quite a few don't like him.
Probably would have been very difficult to have his first gig here at Newcastle and it most likely would have been a disaster anyway.
Ah well ... Bruce it is.
-
We were strongly linked with Gerrard ahead of him going to Rangers and I cringed at the thought.
God I wish we had gone with him ahead of Bruce in hindsight. He's doing really well and really seems to have the right make up for management.

“Front-foot, attacking football”
My goodness
Can't wait till we play Liverpool ...
-
Mental how opinions can change with managers just a few games into a new season.
Rodgers blew a CL finish last year after being miles ahead. Criticised. This year he's the dogs bollocks because Leicester are top after 8 games.
That would have been an over achievement last year I thought.
They also lost Pereira, Chilwell and Maddison towards the end of the season, which was a killer.

Our formation is just everyone standing on top of each other in the centre of the pitch
