  1. That's utter s****. He's had plenty of chances to show what he's made of last season. He's pony. Even at Liverpool (the idea of him playing for Liverpool is hilarious btw) he would still be pony.

If he was so highly rated and "klopp likes him" why the f*** did he end up at Newcastle

Rafa was spot on not wanting him.

This a waste of my time. I've said all I care to about it.

Hope he gets a move as soon as he can manage it for his own good.

  2. nah, don't think so.

Klopp likes him and has already used a player we got relegated with previously to go on and win the league, and so knows we specialise in mismanaging players.

Should try and swap him for Brewster or Origi who are both available and are more in line with what Bruce prefers.

Joelinton at Liverpool kaka?  You mental? Gini is completely different to Joelinton. Gini scores 12 goals in a relegated team managed by Steve Mcclaren. Even at Hoffenheim managed by Naagelsmann  Joelinton only managed a few goals.

Don’t get me wrong I haven’t completely written him off. He has some physical attributes and despite what many have said I actually think he has a decent first touch but I don’t see how he’s going to Liverpool at all.

In Frimino's last season before joining Liverpool he scored 10 goals and had 12 assists in 36 games for Hoffenheim. It was his fourth season as a starter in the first team there.

In Joelinton's last season at Hoffenheim before making the worst decision of his life to join us he scored 11 goals and had 9 assists in 35 games. It was his first season as a starter in their first team.

Look this idea that we signed some bum from Germany is just false, and yes, it wouldn't be out of this world to think he could contribute to that Liverpool team playing a similar role to what Firmino does as his backup, as they don't have a similar forward when he is out of the team.

Firmino since joining Liverpool pretty much averages 11 goals and 9 assists a season, but he is so much more than that because of what he allows Sane and Salah to do as their goal scoring wide forwards. Although Joelinton is not an exact copy, he was heralded in Germany because of the contributions he made that allowed the other forwards in the team to shine in the same way. We signed him without having any wide men or strikers that get in behind and threaten the goal.

I have no doubt if we had signed Firmino, we would have been shitting on him too with such gems like: what's all this false 9 business!, he's not 'striking' right!, get in the box man!, work harder!, more passion!, so what if we have 20% possession score goals!. Firmino gets 11 goals a season in that Liverpool team, he certainly wouldn't get more than 3 under Bruce in our setup that's for sure.

We deserve a PFM man like Bruce man 100%. Wish people would stop pretending they want or are interested in anything different.

We have a talented young striker we just spent £40 million on who is struggling, and instead of looking at what type of player he is and asking why he is not being put in the right situation to even have a chance to succeed by our genius manager, everyone's lambasting the guy because he's not having success in a team with hardly any possession that launches balls at him from 50 yards. Just perfect.

  3. Armstrong is a better player than Joelinton.

    Agree x100

The backup players look dogs hit

Yes, Armstrong would no doubt turn into Mighty Mouse and win all of the hoofs up towards him if he was playing in the Newcastle team tonight.

His alround play and effort is superior in everything hes done .

Joe lips is a mess of a man , f***ing horrendous and the worst buy in football history.

If Armstrong was upfront for us in this game everyone would be screaming he's shit stop fooling yourself

    He didn’t cost £40m though

Everyone was screaming about Hendrick first half on Saturday when he had been having a solid game and he was on a free

If he’s as shit as joelinton this time next season everyone will call him shit too. That’s how it works.

Yeah man, keep Bruce and get rid of them all.

Just build a team of Neanderthals to header all of the hoofs

You know, joelinton could just be a bit shit, regardless of the manager?

Tell that to the best young manager on the planet that had him last season and rates him highly.

As much as you lot hate Bruce, there are a bunch of PFMs on here man. Damn

He’s (been) shit for us since day one. Need to get rid as he obviously won’t make it here.

Now that I agree with. Would have really liked to see him play alongside Wilson like Carroll did on Saturday, but I can tell Bruce is not going to do it.

He'll keep playing Carroll with Wilson and then send out Joelinton to play upfront alone in weaker cup teams where the ball keeps getting pinged at his head from miles away.

  6. Cannot play up top alone in Steve Bruce's teams. He might look like a target man physically, but he isn't.

They cannot play the ball to his feet consistently enough for him to ever do anything good playing that lone striker role, so it's a bloody waste of time.

I hoped that at the very least the manager had realised this from last season. Hopefully it was only due to having a lack of other options.

Loan another striker asap and stop the foolishness.

  8. Look KaKa, I respect that you think there’s a player there somewhere. But you can’t deny that he’s been woeful most of the time here, and that together with the fact that he cost 40m (not his fault, but you get it) will mean he’ll be heavily criticised.

People focus too much on Joelinton. Yes he was a poor buy, but he's not responsible for the absolutely rancid football we are watching today.

He’s our most expensive player ever and he’s been shite, of course people are going to focus on him.

I'd understand that if the team on the whole played even half decently. Especially as he is playing a position that relies on the team playing well for the most part.

    How do you know?

I judge on what I can see not guess.

How the f*** can you defend JL ? Are you right in the head?

You just nitpick players you've decided you don't like when the whole team stinks. It's not very clever at all

Dude, I really don't care. Just find the blame game hilarious

We literally cannot keep the ball against Blackburn Rovers and everyone is screaming about Joelinton

  14. Can't believe that Joelinton attempt from 25 yards when Murphy was wide open to recieve the ball in the box.  Shocking player.

Everyone's spent his whole time here telling him to be more selfish because he's not 'striking' correctly

They better just loan him out before his head goes completely, or one of the radge forum PFMs see him out and about and attack him.

  15. I can see what HTT means tbh.

I know a ton of Arsenal fans and they do say his overall play is quite limited but he will always get you goals.

I think it's why he is typically always used from that left side, rather than through the middle, which has been working very well tbf.

  16. I think some of these players are ones we previously enquired about when the takeover looked like it might be on, or perhaps they were alternatives if we failed to get any prem experienced strikers.

  17. Havertz looks like an early contender for this years big flop. I take it he's being shoe horned into a position he's not familiar with but still, awful tempo, slow, poor passing and shooting.

He’s trained with them for a week ffs.

Unless this is a piss take post.

Has to be, he's been decent for his first game.

Front three barely got a touch in the first half as Brighton dominated possession, thanks to Loftus-Cheek's inability to do anything offensively or defensively. Genuinely can't believe how bad he is.

Terrible decision by Frank to start him there and leave him there for so long. Very lucky to get this result in the end.

Improved a fair bit since Barkley came on, and he hasn't had to do too much.
