  1. Him beating Pochettino and Spurs at home was significant. If Poch beats them convincingly in that game it really cements him as the favourite, but he didn't manage it. Poch has really struggled to win things. The way they went out of the league cup to Chelsea was quite poor too.

Solksjaer should be in with a strong shout. I mean when Real brought in Zidane it was quite the gamble too and that worked out big time.

What was quite poor about it?

They had the lead from the first leg, and Chelsea have been in poor form. They really should have got a result. Just seems Poch isn't quite there yet. Think he should stay with Spurs, or he might end up struggling at Man U as they won't accept similar results to what he's had at Spurs. It would be even more difficult following Solskjaer now, considering how well he's done.

  3. How is that not even a yellow for Pogba?  :jesuswept:

Maitland-Niles did him a big favour by getting up and accepting Pogba's hand afterwards. Was a terrible challenge. Could have been a straight red.

No it couldn't. Calm down Kaka.

Look ... Pogba has been fantastic of late and I'm loving his resurgence, and I know he's your player, but just be honest and objective.

It was a scissor challenge from behind. It was a terrible tackle. Could certainly have been a red card.

It was nowhere near a red

Was it a scissor challenge from behind? Yes or no?

  5. Nah, I see Michael Carrick. More calm and cerebral than Hendo.

    Good shout.

Nah, don’t see that at all.

Unlucky pal! Rafa knows what I'm saying!

And, of the 21-year-old, Benitez said: 'I've heard the Michael Carrick comparison and I can see that.

'Carrick, later on, became a holding-midfielder, but at this stage Sean has more mobility and plenty of stamina, he can cover a lot of ground.

'But certainly (like Carrick) he has the technique and can use both feet well. He is also a quiet type and is not someone who loses his head.'

  6.

Probably trying to claim his medical wasn't 100% clean and so trying to pay less wages for it.

I just knew it! Such a sleazy club man. Reeks of Mike Ashley's approach to everything in life.

  7. They bought him direct from Belgium his wages can't be that high?! Surely we should be covering most if not all of it?

So darned cheap and small time. It's humiliating.

  8. Lukaku is really good like. People go on about him like he's shite because he went through a bad patch

He looks like a target man, but that role doesn't get the best out of him, because he doesn't receive the ball and hold it up well with his back to goal. And so when he's upfront alone in that role it leads to a lot of frustration.

They're using him as Martinez often did at Everton, with him coming in from that right side and again, he is looking really good in that role.

  9. Ashley spending a possible £19M on a LB.

Just imagine what is going through Pards head right now.

Think it's all the evidence we need that Pardew has been lined up to return in the summer, and has sanctioned the move.

Anyway ...  the one thing that I really like from his clips is how competitive and aggressive he is. He's also really strong and quick. All great attributes.

Unfortunately I can see him coming in and doing really well for us, and being very well suited to the premier league, and then we'll all get to watch him sign for West Ham or Wolves in the summer.

  10. I've been very critical of the guy for his performances in the number 10 position, and I have to say I love the celebration.

Shows me that he's a fighter and has some guts. It's cheeky enough without being mean spirited. Gone up in my estimation for it.

Enjoying him in the 3-4-2-1 setup as he's not as isolated in the centre. Looks a lot more useful. Still wish we could somehow use him as an out and out striker though.

Let him enjoy himself. I can only imagine what was being said to him on social media when he was having a bad time.
