  1. Marco Silva doing a cracking job at Watford already

He is absolutely brilliant. Would have kept Hull up with a bit more time.

The guys on sky Sports were talking about how Amrabat was loaned out without his approval, but the guy just gets on with things, and works with the players he's given. Looks a very adaptable and intelligent manager.

  2. I think it's also pretty evident that Allardyce is looking to get his fat behind back into football again too.

He's seen that apology from Ashley and is definitely looking to angle his way into the Newcastle gig by sucking up to him.

Anything to get back onto the gravy train. Such a lack of integrity in that hippo.

  3. Didn't he get a fairly long stretch in the team last season and was gash?

Show me one player who hasn't had a bad patch at some point in their career. I'm sure Shearer had a s**** season once. Not comparing the two just highlighting the mootness of your point.

I'm willing to bet that by the time he's 27 you're the only one talking about it.

He's currently playing in a system that doesn't suit his attributes, for a manager who seems unwilling to adapt to a system that will exploit these attributes. Previously he has been picked specifically for those attributes. He is having to adapt. He is still young enough that he might do that.

His goal against WHam was a sign of a footballer thinking about his game. It also demonstrated a confidence that was previously shackled by responsibility.

As if anybody on here, at 22, wasn't a proper radgie on a Saturday night at least once or twice.

I wasn't actually. I was as suave, sophisticated and sexy as I am now. So there goes your theory pal.

  4. Its a controversial opinion, and will probably be laughed at, but to me Glenn Hoddle speaks so much sense when commentating on England that I genuinely don't think he'd be the worse option as manager for us.

Might just be nostalgia as the last time we looked world class was when he was the manager and he wasn't sacked for anything football related, aye I know he's been out the game a while in a working sense but he obviously pays a lot of attention to England

I agree man. It's a real shame he got ditched. Think he has a lot of sense and idea of what needs sorting, and he would be brave enough to pick people that can actually play and not over rely on reputations.

  5. Need to start picking guys like Ward Prowse that have some quality in their passing and delivery. It's just a bunch of athletes out there for the most part.

If Shelvey didn't have a peanut for a brain he should breeze into this midfield. It is completely devoid of any passing.

  6. Slovakia popping the ball about nicely here. Why can't England ever manage that? It's so frustrating man.

Pace is such a gift and a curse. So many England players are blessed with blistering pace, but you can tell they over relied on it growing up and have no idea how to get themselves in positions to utilise it when they are outside of their clubs where more subtle players from abroad can set them up.

  7. Even the commentators keep going on about the manager going to two upfront earlier, as if that solves all the problems when the team looks completely useless at using the ball well enough to create chances. Such an irritating mindset.

  8. How many flipping strikers did England have on at the end? 4?

    Classic PFM approach.

Set the team up too poorly to create any kind of decent chances or threat to the opposition, and then seek to rectify it by throwing on all the strikers. Leading to an almighty mess on the pitch.

  9. How do you guys feel about the movement upfront for England?

It looks so ill disciplined. Everybody coming towards the ball and trying to do too much and so the spacing is so bad, which makes it very difficult for any good play to develop.

Don't understand why this isn't sorted out. Even Kane ends up all over the place.

  10. England have so much wonderful pace and athleticism out wide in both winger and full back positions, but by God do those boys lack subtlety and any kind of nous or intelligence. Completely ruins everything else.
