The guy will be happy to stay if Rafa is around man. For at least another few seasons. he's finally getting to play all the time. he's already made the big move too early previously and suffered for it.

In any case the success of this guy will give huge kudos to Rafa regarding transfers. Goodness knows how many other gems like this he had his eye on. There will be others.

So happy how this is working out. The guy is allowing us to quickly get over the horrendous summer we had.

My goodness ... Cisse in particular annoyed me so much with his hold up and link up play. Really has adversely affected for a long time now in the prem.

There were some reports going round a couple of weeks ago from De Boer about how shocked he was at the lack of willingness of players to take risks in passing the ball forward.

The guy seemed completely stunned at the level of the players and just their mindset and approach to the game (that Pards and Allardyce effect!).

Maybe the club just felt the players they have would never get it, and so decided to change the manager, as that is the quicker and easier fix after not doing more to change the players in the summer.

This is ridiculous

Everybody talks about wanting to play good football but they don't want to commit to it really.

If they wanted a faster transformation then they should have given De Boer more resources and freedom to change the players.

Instead, they ended up handing him players that had been drilled into playing Allardyce football and before him Alan Pardew's football.

That is a hell of a task man! If that's the approach you are going with then you have to be prepared to stick by the manager for a good while to ride the initial ups and downs.

So now they've thrown in the towel after four games and gone right back to square one with another guy that plays percentages and tells you every week that the goal is to keep you up.

They're losing by 3 to Brighton man. It's the problem with a team that doesn't try to play. When you go against a team that a bit of play would open up, you are left in a pickle, and they end up gaining confidence against you.
