where were you sitting? Sounds like you didn't have the best view of Xisco
-
Without Barton we had no intention to play football and anyone who thinks Alan Smith is any sort of answer needs a talking to. We simply must buy a winger in order to let Barton and Guthrie shine.
-
How many times was he given the ball to feet? We should never have bough a Spainsh striker if the intention was to play stupid long balls, but that's another arguement
-
at 20 a striker should be able to at least look dangerous man. Like there's some remote chance of scoring a goal. He works hard and is good in the air but i'm perplexed as to why he's been identified as a striker

Harper Simpson Taylor Coloccini Enrique Guthrie Barton Smith Jonas Xisco Shola 1-1
-
Carroll doesn't look dangerous to me in the slightest And Colocinni looks a liability. not to me he doesn't. He looks slow and like he's finding his feet at times but far from a liability BTW: love the fact you spell Coloccini differently in consecutive posts
-
Neither one has impressed but Colo to be fair has done his job decently imo. Carroll doesn't look dangerous to me in the slightest
-
And we're left with what? Krul, who hasn't even played 2 full games for us, and forster - enough said
-
Defore in the dream team, leaving all and sundry in the NO fantasy league well behind! In an ideal world that will be the absolute worst team we put out in the championship. We need Barton and Guthrie back and a new striker bare minimum to get promoted
-
the only first-team goal Carroll has scored with his feet was that tap-in against Man City. This should worry people, clearly doesn't like.
-
Made two brilliant saves tonight. It's such an easy compliment to pay but his one on one at the gallowgate and the tip over from the free-kick were absolutely brilliant. Showed why he is no.1, well played
-
nah, he had a good second half, won a lot in the air and threw himself around when needed to. I like him, his style of defending is very, very unconventional but so far it's done the job thi season
-
of course we did. To anyone who hasn't seen that season review, buy it or i'll make you a copy, brilliant season.
-
Harper 8 - 2 brilliant saves right in front of me. Those who said hewas s**** after WBA should hang their heads, very solid. MOTM Simpson 6 - decent debut, has an agressive approach by the look of him Taylor 7.5 - well played, nice and solid Coloccini 7 - as always, gets better as the game goes on. Often outpaced and outjumped but was always there when it mattered Enrique 8 - just pipped for motm, solid in defence and dangerous in the other half. Our best player so far this season R Taylor 6 - average, not a winger Nolan 4.5 - horrible, absolutely horrible and was sucking wind by the 70 minute mark. Smith 5 - should have been sent off after 30 minutes, two many daft challenges. Guthrie should stroll back in Jonas 5 - plays with no confidence in his ability to beat people, as ever needs to play deeper and with his head up Carroll 6 - He works hard but needs to work badly on his first touch and improve his general awareness. No confidence in his shooting Shola 7 - Great finish, offside so often it's criminal. Not helped by the lack of a midfield Barton and Guthrie HAVE to start whenever fit, but wont with that w***** in charge
-
He wins balls in the air but has nothing about him as a footballer, doesn't look like a striker to me at all
-
when were they lots of points ahead of Man U?

2000-2001 if memory serves. "Just a town full of paki's" was repeated so many times I heard it in my ears for the next week

Coventry away should be fun, especially after the disgusting songs our lot sang the last time we were there

And they know it http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=433965 Edit: Oh, wait, they have an excuse. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=433925 Jesus 4 pubs that hold 6,000!

The way I see it, we need 3 central defenders fit for Championship football. The benefit of Coloccini being there is his robustness.
-
From what I've heard they're considerably more physical than WBA and Reading. It'll be very interesting to see how the likes of Coloccini, Jonas and even the big two up front manage with it.

thank you very much, sir
