  1. bookies have stopped taking bets on that one
  2. at a push? are you having a laugh taylor is loads better, younger and a future captain. i'd rather play him. .... you're insane
  3. Why no Martins? because we need a big, powerful, skillful target man alongside our only truly world class player
  4. Super duper Hooper. half the team were out with flu that game iirc, we were bollocks all over the pitch For some reason i can recall the 94/95 season review video pretty vividly. Alan Nielson was playing n'all. Think the next featured game on the vid was a 0-2 loss at Liverpool where Fowler and Ruddock did this proper weird celebration. Strange how you remember some stuff. I can remember watching that vid a few times as a little'un and thinking Paul Kitson was f***ing mint. 94/95: the complete story. ie not quite the Entertainers anymore if Kitson was at that club today he'd probably be a cult hero, moreso than Sibierski tbh. Scored goals, good lad. Had a hell of a touch on him at times. Never quite matched up to Beardsley, Cole and Ferdinand though
  5. why? what good is being huge? He's a liability
  6. Faye and Bramble are both miles ahead of what we have a CB excluding Colo and would both probably make a good partner for him a fit Emre is better than all of our midfielders tbh, same goes for Dyer. Parker would do a better job than Butt certainly. Milner is no better than Duff and not as effective as Jonas or N'zogbia Rozenhal and Onyewu
  7. bit of a difference tbh, beating the s*** out of a teammate till unconcious and throwing a coin into a crowd
  8. Super duper Hooper. half the team were out with flu that game iirc, we were bollocks all over the pitch
  9. why, because he ran onto the pitch? hardly the crime of the century is it. Should all those who ran onto the pitch away at Grimsby in 93 (myself included) get life bans?
  10. personal friend of Shepherd
  11. Owen's finished at international level tbh. He's never done it in the big tournaments with the exception of 98, and he's lost the only world class attribute he had back then.
  12. "michael Owen is the best player at this football club" Kinnear is such an amateurish cunt
  13. Ronaldo

    Shola injured?

he's been ok. We'd do so much better if we kept it on the deck and played Owen and Martins though
  14. Roeder 7th in the league and European football qualification with a 4-1 away win over main rivals to boot. The equivalent to what Grant did at Chelsea with our rabble. In fact Grant reminds me so much of Roeder and would probably do a similar job here after an initial honeymoon period. We need someone with far more substance about them then someone who was manager in name only really of the world's most costly assembled squad that were recently 2 times title winners at the time he took over in a league that only really consisted of one real rival for the number 1 spot. daft comparison. Roeder finishing 7th in a league with basically s**** beyond the top 4 is hardly comparable to Grant accumulating more points than Man U from his october appointment onwards. Let's not forget they were without their talisman and a third of their goals in Drogba for half the season. He did a fantastic job And our talisman was heading towards retirement and the man bought to replace him unavailable for selection for the vast majority of games. you called for him to be dropped after the 3-2 sunderland game did you not. You were obviously confident in Ameobi For Chelsea to lose their only great striker for more than half of the season and still achieve what they did is pretty remarkable to be honest
  15. Really? Which English League club did Avram take from the brink of extinction to within 4 points of the Premiership title in 5 seasons ? best you say 'in 4 years' - sounds a lot better
  16. You're wrong about this. This was the main problem Chelsea fans had with him. In big matches, he always started Makalele, Ballack, and Lampard, which relegated Essien to right back and Obi to bench. Makalele filled in admirably during the ACN for them, but was clearly past it, and Lampard was off form. This was typified in the CL final when their best midfielder was playing right back even though there were other options and Makalele was done. they had no right back he had confidence in so he played Essien there and Makelele in midfield. Fair play what is Kinnear's excuse for playing Butt and Duff?

  18. if he'd been manager from June instead of October I'm convinced that would make for even better reading tbh
  19. because of our woefully inadequate squad in terms of CB's, you have half a case for Taylor although I rate Bassong a hell of a lot more. as for Butt? haway man yasel, he's a fucking shambolic excuse for a midfielder. Geremi and Guthrie are a lot more effective there
  20. Well they could all declare involvment with Al Qaeda and still be on Kinnear's teamsheet. The Duff and Butt situation is becoming ridiculous. Grant's in a different league to JFK man
  21. indeed, Carson looked like a schoolboy keeper yesterday. Woefully out of his depth at this level
