It was 4 and a half years ago now that he had his wobble against Madrid. Have to think he's matured as a player and a person, and had plenty of time to sort his issues out. Come on lad, make a few cracking saves, lift the cup and you'll be a hero at this club for life.

Agree - it's part of why he's been so class, he cuts out issues before they even become chances. There is a risk to playing that way but it's worth it imo.

You'll find utter cunts among any fanbase who will think less of you if you weren't born on the steps of St James's Park and delivered by Derek Wright - but I can promise you the vast VAST majority on here aren't like that at all.

This forum is full of non-Geordie supporters, I'm one of them. We also have a fantastic contingent of supporters from beyond these shores entirely. I've never once been made to feel unwelcome, it's why I've been posting here over half my life. Sorry but no idea where this is coming from.

If there's any chance at all we should appeal. Best case scenario we get Pope back for the final, worst case we have Dubs in goal against City. Worth the risk imo

Really feel for him. You can see clear as day what happened, it's his instinct to stick his hands out and smother it like that before the striker can get a foot on the ball. Gutting for him - don't blame him though, he's a massive part of why we're even in the final, real shame for him that he can't take part.
