  1. Yeah I'll hold my hands up, I said I'd sell with a decent offer but he's massively changed my mind. That was everything I wanted from him, played with the bite and energy we saw in that first full season. Top class.
  2. How do you sleep after that like. These midweek games are a nightmare for my work productivity
  3. Absolute fucking warrior performance from every single one of them. So proud of the team. Completely deserved in the face of the worst refereeing performance I've seen in a season full of absolutely atrocious ones. Get. The. Fuck. In.
  4. Lovely, just keep going til the cartel team score, we've seen this before. Absolutely obscene decision to give Ramsey a red. He fucking falls over. Not a penalty doesn't automatically equal a dive you thick fucking twat. Travesty if we don't get the 3 points here.

I don't think we have that sort of jurisdiction over Froggy, afaik he's still a free man, but wait for the mods to pitch in
  6. Nah, you went further than that and said that everyone else rotates more than us and implied that we should've sacked it off, both demonstrably false.
  7. ...because playing too many games leads to exhaustion, and exhaustion leads to injuries, which further stretch an already thin squad. Didn't think I'd have to spell that bit out for you like
  8. What's your point exactly? Tino's injury was an impact one, nothing to do with being overplayed. Your original point that "literally everyone rotates more" was shit, not only do other teams give the cups a good go, we rotated a fair bit ourselves. Now we didn't rotate the right players or enough.
  9. Barnes sure. Willock was recently back from (another) injury and had started against Bournemouth 3 days before (a game we made 7 changes from for the Carabao game btw). I'm sure you'd have been very understanding if Howe had played him twice in 4 days and he'd picked up (ANOTHER) long term injury. Lascelles made me laugh, not sure he's been fit enough to play against a pub side at any point in the last year, whether on the bench or not.
  10. How any Newcastle fan in the world can look at the scenes from March 2025 and genuinely say "let's sack that off this year" is completely inconceivable to me.
  11. The teams that rotate more are generally the ones that have the squads to do so and still be competitive. Other non-cartel Premier League sides tend to give it a good go because trophies matter. "Literally everyone" is nonsense. I picked at random Fulham as the team we played in the last round before we were knocked out, and in their first game against fucking Cambridge United they played a bunch of first team players. I don't know their team well but loads of recognisable names there, so don't think they rotated any more or less than we did playing the likes of Krafth & Osula against Bradford. You'd have a better time arguing if you didn't just make easily refutable shit up to prove your point.
  12. Yes. Winning trophies is what it's ALL about. And given we got to the semis, AGAIN, it was justified.
  13. Friendly reminder that we've played more games than anyone else on the continent this year with a PSR-restricted squad that's unable to cope (rules working as intended). We've played that many games because of Eddie Howe being class. Second friendly reminder that it's been less than a trip around the sun since we ended a 70-year domestic trophy drought. We ended it because of Eddie Howe being class. Third (unfriendly) reminder that I hate an ever-growing number of you.
  14. Buzzing with this. Champions League knockout game against Barcelona, how are we here??
  15. Would sell for that price. As much as he's impressed in recent weeks and looks back to his best, can't shake the feeling that he's a downturn in mood away from the listless performances we saw earlier in the season (masked by scoring penalties tbh). I like him, and if he could stay and be motivated I'd want him to stay, but I don't see it. I reckon if we turn down an "elite" offer then his head gets turned, so in that case just cash out. Maybe unfair as this is just vibes

    Nick Woltemade

He's in his 2nd top-flight season, 1st season in a new league, and has just turned 24. Both the team and the player will need to adapt, but he's clearly absolute class, he'll be fine. The fact that he's able to contribute out of position to cover the loss of Bruno is a positive, not a stick to beat him with. Very confident he'll be a regular starter upfront for us, either as the main man or playing deeper off a main striker.
