  1. Hope not. But may well end up. Would like to see a Southampton or Swansea stick it up the arse of the BBC/Sky and ITV wankathon punditry that is so biased. That would have been my top 2 at the start of the season with scousers and arsenal fighting for next 2 places. Mr Rodgers has other ideas thankfully. I would never count Man U out of it (jammy c***s basically), but this season one side could and maybe should, break the 'big 4' monopoly. They won't play in black n white at SJP mind. yeh we are guaranteed to go on a Pardew losing streak. Spurs have looked shite, but they are still tracking "ok" points wise in the context of league places. They have alot of upside to them.
  2. 1. Chelsea 2. Man City 3. Arsenal 4. Manchester United 5. Southampton 6. Tottenham 7. Liverpool 8. Swansea 9 Newcastle 10. West Ham ??
  3. for a split second i thought i was wrong but now i don't think so....if colback had played in that liverpool team last season he'd have looked mint too and been in the world cup As f***ing if you actually believe that He may not be great but he's miles better than Colback. A little bit better. Not miles.
  4. yeh as a fullback youd want him to be more composed on the ball, but as a centre half its not as much as an issue if hes partnered with a Colo or Mbiwa type.
  5. Amdy Faye, Abdoulaye Faye, Habib Beye, Demba Ba, Papiss Cisse ?? Diatta ahh yes, rather forgettable player.
  6. Amdy Faye, Abdoulaye Faye, Habib Beye, Demba Ba, Papiss Cisse ??
  7. They've got a far better squad, imo. And stadium, and location, and bank balance. No contest really. Also very true. With a couple of key signings down the spine of the side and a change in mentality that someone like Klopp could bring, Arsenal could bridge that gap on Chelsea next season.
  8. His years playing upfront he was 1 in 2. Pretty sure I read that when he first signed. He previously used to play out wide, but that was at least three years prior to joining us. I think the very best he's ever managed over a full season is about 1 in 3. I don't think for one second he'd do as well as that in the PL. Anyway, who cares? Cisse and Perez are better players and better strikers. Whos better Gouffran or Riviere?
  9. They've got a far better squad, imo.
  10. Yeh I think we have probably counter-attacked with more purpose over this little run, but that is more due to the youthful enthusiasm of Ayoze, Cabella and Ameobi.
  11. Nailed on. Yeh, Mehdi covers alot of bases. Hes strong, athletic and reads the play well, whilst also comfortable and positive in possession. I suppose hes a combination of the better qualities of Anita and Tiote.
  12. Have non-Norwegians actually heard of this guy?
  13. Those bursting runs when he knocks the ball past midfielders and powers through are priceless. They force the centrebacks to come out and close him down, as long as we have runners ready to get in behind, he can flick them through and we are in on goal.
  14. Think Spurs and Liverpool could be on a level pegging with the Evertons, Swanseas, Southamptons, Us for a couple of seasons. I expect Manchester United and Arsenal to push on.
  15. Ben Arfa is going to cut inside and score a worldy in this game. I can feel it!
  16. They really fucked up by not signing Sanchez and Remy. That was their big chance to sign top class players and offer them Champions League, thats gone now.
  17. got a bit excited by Jedinak scoring a belter
  18. Yeh he could be. Benitez to go back there?
  19. Is this the Alan Pardew thread?
  20. Yeh he was good yesterday.
  21. Yeh we made it hard, missed some good chances. It didnt help that our two centre backs are ridiculously uncomfortable on the ball.
  22. That was a bit better. Need to get Cabella on the ball more with space.
