This but with Santon rather than Haidara who I think lacks discipline in getting back and doesn't yet know when it's best to stay back or get forward. It'll come mind. I can still remember a lot of us moaning about Davide "sauntering" back to his position not so long ago... The two of them are pretty close tbh Now you come to mention it aye!!! Players do narf improve when they're missing for a while!!! Remember that Obertan kid, fucking lightning he was, all sorts of tricks and flicks, skinning people at will, awesome movement, ball control and crossing. Miss him like fuck

Santon would be mint under a decent manager, having him and Janmaat on each side would be a dream for most managers - so comfortable with the ball, although you do need good centre backs to shore it up and Colo has a habit of getting dragged out when Santon or Haidara plays.
-
You have to admire his balls tbh, he really doesn't give a fuck does he
-
Chaos factor is a new one he's such a cunt
-
It would be quite funny watching him offer out 50,000 when we all boo him for being garbage
-
Less than three weeks ago Alan Pardew was our manager and we literally had no hope for the short, medium or long term future. Feeling down? I'm still buzzing my tits off. I'm the same, don't give a fuck just happy that cunt has gone
-
He was never better than Championship level and would have probably been better in that league for most of his career or at least early stages
-
We brought in a few in the summer with Janmaat (Good signing), Perez (Looks outstanding value), Cabella (Starting to get there?), De Jong (Hopefully decent when fit). Striker was the big one needed and they got Riviere (Who Pardew endorsed) and is not really good enough. But that's there plan 4 that could improve and 1 that probably won't retain the value. Pardew can't complain with the quality of at least Janmaat and Perez after all Colback was probably his signing and he likes players like Dummet and Williamson.

I suppose Remy and Ba were not really replaced despite supposed efforts, we have ended up with Cisse, Perez and Riviere which is not really good enough at this level, however Pardew said he was quite happy with the signings we had made and felt we were strong. We do improve generally just not always in the most critical areas. Centre Half and Striker crucial as we are so weak there. We also need wingers and probably a better level of centre midfield but those 2 areas would be a great start. For wide areas hopefully Cabella and Aarons can strengthen us in those areas and we have the likes of Sissoko (If he stays), De Jong and Perez offering a decent threat going forward hopefully. I still think would could have played a better formation and tactically with more freedom He loaned out our CB, he also loaned out two creative players we had. So he actually weakened it. Recall HBA/Marv/MYM suddely that squad looks a lot better Yip, true we would have had greater options. Still can't quite believe he kept Williamson and Taylor and loaned MYM out because he had no faith in his heading abilities

1. that's his opinion. Edwards is banned however and as such might affect his writing. 2. Pardew Out was by all accounts weak and half-hearted. He should've received hell. 3. Agree with you. 4. He did have to accept the conditions of the job which he largely had no control of. He should've resigned though aye. He had all his eggs in De Jong's basket. 5. Ba too. Couldn't sign/keep Remy. All our standout performers during their time here. I go to the match and despised him from the beginning, others around me and mates never had that view initially but by the end they all could not stand them. Now that didn't mean they turned up at games and protested or booed for whatever reason but they could not stand how shit we were and held him as responsible as Fat Mike. Others may have been nervous about who we would possibly get when he left. I personally didn't give a fuck as I couldn't stand hearing the shit that came out of his mouth any longer
-
The one thing I would worry about is if we don't sign a manager up now for whatever reason, wait until the summer and Carver somehow manages to keep us in top ten, they may take a chance on him. As things stand it appears they are trying to appoint somebody competent.
-
Agree with that we didn't look to sit back, however to bang on about how well we played while still losing 2-0 is mental, 2nd half we didn't turn up again and suggests he doesn't know how to motivate at half time, I think he should have made changes sooner as well. The one thing I noticed and I think to his credit is we looked to play the ball out from the back as much as possible, Krul was noticeably not trying to launch it everytime.
-
Na, Pardew will have coached anything resembling football out of them in next few weeks. First game it was inevitable they would try dead hard but once they buy into Pardews methods properly they will be fucked.
-
I think we will be ok just by the fact there is so much shit at the bottom. We need 4 wins out of 17 games, I would hope we can manage that or 3 wins and 4 draws.
-
You really should do a little more research before coming out with stuff like that. Didn't Garde coach those same players in the academy / youth teams?
-
He will love his family being abused in Newcastle then when he fails miserably because he's a french and not a hardened premier league manager of fine british stock
-
Sell them to Pardcunt (Except Santon and Haidara) - we should let them have Dummet and Gouffran
-
I worry he won't know how to play long ball football and deliver at Stoke on a cold night. He will come here with his fancy dan ideas of passing, movement, being tactically sound and not ostracising players of ability when we will crave Williamson, Dummet, Colback and Gouffran.
-
Imagine we actually had someone with the potential to not be a total cunt or bang average, with half an idea how to develop players and tactically sound. Still a risk appointing anyone but not having yet another mediocre British manager would be a god send for a while. Too good to be true, will be Carver boooooooooooooooooooooooooo
-
Hmmm or Hate anything like this. Suggesting that the Premier League is the be all and end all. Granted, Serie A isn't anywhere near what it used to be but even so. 80,000 capcaity stadium in Milan or 28,000 in Stoke? Playing alongside the likes of Palacio, Kovacic and Vidic - or Crouch, Sidwell and Walters? I think I would rather live in Italy than here if I had a choice, the scenery, food, weather for a start
-
Foreign coaches generally just seem to have more of a style they want to play and half an idea how to implement it. British coaches just seem to want to pick the same old cloggers, appear incapable of developing a good passing style and call hoof ball "winning football". That guy who said our last 5 top managers were English failed to realise we have only appointed Gullit that didn't come from uk in last 20 years
-
Well can we at least rename it to the "Alan Pardew it's never his fault" thread? Or the "Steve Parish appreciation" thread?
-
I think Ashley will get his way somehow, certainly not daft when it comes to getting what he wants in the business world Not sure he will want to when hes making moeny out of them simply owning 9% or whatever. If he dumped us for Rangers surely thats the definition of daft in business terms? Well you would think so given the money we make in premier league compared to lack of TV money etc up there unless he is banking on Champions League but not sure they would make anywhere near us even then (Would they make 60 mill in CL). But he must have reasons for trying to up his stake, he's not really in the business of losing money and while I hate him at our club he is pretty good at what he does from the looks of it (Wish I was worth 3 billion)
