We threw the kitchen sink at Wigan. Against QPR we were missing key players. The biggest problem with the midfield 4 you mention is the lack of movement from wide areas, its all quite tame, I think movement is key, Ryan Taylor offers only an early cross from right wing, nothing more. Jonas only seems to make the runs when the ball is in flight rather than running before the ball is hit

Novel idea, we should maybe change our game to get around a defence rather than hoofing the ball at him, I believe it boils down to the managers tactics. You only have to look at the scum, they have a lot more runners, options to pass to and drive than when Agent B was in charge. We need to play a game we are good at and become ruthless and hurt teams. You only have to look at the wolves game, we should have just murdered them, instead we paid far to much respect and they looked better team.

You only have to look at Swansea and Norwich and see teams with supposed lesser players than ours outplaying teams at times. We have some quality technique but quite simply don't open the pitch up enough to use it. Movement is next to 0, the formation is very rigid and midfield always seems flat. With the quality we have in the centre and wings we should have torn at least one team a new one, Instead of worrying about what another team is going to do, why not for once let them worry about us and how to contain us. I am totally frustrated at Krul/Williamson/Anyone hoofing the ball up to Ba/Cisse when it is quite clear their strengths are on the ground rather than a bring it down and hold type. We need to use Ba and Cisse's movement and have midfield support. Personally think the best movement we have had is when Jonas played a sort of free role in front of midfield, in fact it seems to suit him more than winger and his short passing and energy work there, whereas on wing his end product is often lacking. Even when we play hoof ball, why do we not have someone chasing up the second ball. That's exactly how other teams are effective at it by getting to the ball when it drops.

Its possibly the way in which this has happened, would be distressing for any player I would imagine
