The serious knee ligament injury he had straight after signing for Blackburn may have had something to do with that.
-
Alli does the graft as well as the nice stuff. I must be honest, he surpassed what I expected of him. A proper talent.
-
Hopefully this performance spells the end of Michael Carrick in an England shirt.
-
Alli is playing himself into the squad here. He's no Glenn Whelan though.
-
Good goal that. Dele Alli instrumental in that.
-
Hoddle was that type of player himself though. He's one you can take it from. No he wasn't.
-
I think he's been more than fair and praising of him tbh. It's exactly the type of criticism Hoddle was subjected to himself, so it's fair enough.
-
He's been quite good tonight to be fair.
-
Or maybe not. Cracking hit. Take a bow Alli.

Rooonnnnneeey Almost rolled back the years there. Tyldesly vinegar stroke

Sad that Dier has been our best midfielder thus far.

I'll get terrible flashbacks to that Sunday afternoon in Stuttgart in 1988. Horrid being there as an England supporter. We've never avenged that defeat since either, so I'd be glad to get Ireland.

I blame Rooney
-
Doesn't actually change anything that. Bosnia needed to score whichever.

Yet still TCD's best ever post on this forum.

If you've never seen it I'd highly recommend A Captain's Tale with Tim Healy & Dennis Waterman. And Bostock's Cup Tim Healy too.

Looks like the fat Scouse bloke from Goodnight Sweetheart/Bread.

Rooney in his prime isn't face to lace Shearer's boots even after that injury at Goodison. Prime Wayne Rooney isn't fit to lace the boots of the Shearer who played under Gullit, Bobby, Souness and Roeder? Obviously not even you are stupid enough to genuinely believe that, so I'll leave it there. Prime Wayne Rooney is 2003-2004. Since then he's been mediocre at best for England with some sporadic good games, which always come in either qualifiers, non important qualifiers or friendlies. He wouldn't be in my squad and probably wouldn't have been so since 2012. Doesn't really have anything to do with the utter shit that Snrub came out with, though. Yeah, this is true too.

In my incarnation of watching Coventry with my mates most Saturdays in the 80s, I'd wholeheartedly disagree.

I was with the Cov fans when Gary Bennett and David Speedie were fighting at Joker Park. Speedie landed not ten yards from me. Well, Speedie was and is a fucking cunt. Hate the little bastard. Cracking player though. One of the best players in the air I've seen. 5-7" but regularly outjumped six footers.

My short term memory is awful ,it really is. Did Wigan wear stripes when they won it?
-
Dave Bennett was the catalyst behind that Cup season. Should've received a call from Bobby that year. Remains the last final won by a team wearing stripes iirc. Were Wigan not still in stripes when they won? Honestly cannot remember
