Not as strange as I first thought, Jimenez and Vetere also seem to have key roles, and also a good knowledge of world football. Bit of a stupid stance to take. If they are good enough to improve our team's league position, we get benefit from it, and it is irrelevant if we are helping Arsenal, as they aren't in our league. You've got a point, but it's a bit more complicated than that. He'll be keeping out one of our players (e.g. Lua Lua), who we should be developing, and then he'll return to Arsenal... leaving the real issue of our lack of quality still unsolved. Don't think it's worth it to make the difference between finishing 13th and 11th, for example.

Not sure, I would think KK would be likely to hang on to Martins as he provides pace and a direct threat... and no reason to let Owen go really as he's just getting some games under his belt and might be useful again soon. No need to choose between the two... keep them both, maybe even play them both.

Particularly badly-timed suggestion since both Zoggy and Duff are looking better than ever at the moment. To get rid of either to make room for Milner would be a bad move IMO. The bigger question is who we are going to bring in to provide an equal threat on the right?

I think you're right HTT, they basically resent the fact that we think of ourselves as 'different' or 'special'. Worse still, we might have a point.

I've never watched a 15 minute press conference all the way through, but with Kev I couldn't turn it off. The guy is a genius the way he inspires people, the last couple of minutes especially amazing. Can't wait to see how this all works out.
