Almost any CM 'could' play for Man City, most could do a decent job surrounded by those players and with that much possession. I do think signing Kovacic and Paqueta is a bit curious though, I would've thought they have a wider range of players on their radar.

I actually thought Paqueta might do better when Rice was gone and he was the most important midfielder. He's not really an attacking midfielder like some people think, he's box-to-box.

Oh yeah, it’s very boring for sure. Long term it doesn’t seem a good idea to have Moyes asking for these types of players. Maybe they’re just too worried about replacing him and rolling the dice on relegation again.

Aye I don’t want that argument, but it does illustrate how it’s a very difficult point in our history to start rewarding loyalty. I’m not sure what happened to my online account, I think the earliest transaction on there is 2020. Not sure if I created a new account or what, I can remember some registration stuff going on. Also got zero loyalty points because every away game the points have gone to someone else for buying the ticket. But I have ticket stubs from the CL campaign in 2002 It’s quite difficult to judge loyalty really.

I don't think about it in terms of cover. It's a squad that will have to play a lot of intense games in multiple competitions. The drop off from Trippier is immense. Makes perfect sense for now and the future to add another high-quality player in that position.

There are a few really cheap potential starts out there, just don't know enough about who's going to play and when. I tend to just pick a team based on the first 6 fixtures and then try to adapt after that. Kane is a right bastard for not staying or going yet, could be a very cheeky selection if he stays and people don't take him.
