A similar game could have ended up completely differently TBF. They worked extremely hard and pressed us very well, but it’s not every day that would’ve led to us gifting them two goals.

Think SJP has been prone to vocal negativity for my whole life and probably longer. Presumably other home fans groan when their players make a mistake as well mind.

FWIW it’s possible that Howe might have a word with Joelinton after how angry he got against Bournemouth. Helps nobody when he takes it that far and it breads a chaotic feeling.

Ironically it might’ve been better against Bournemouth where we were under a quite intense press. His technique and passing is the third best in our midfield options.

I actually never thought that the tickets next to away fans would be set up for standing. Now we’re talking about it I remember but I didn’t when I was buying my ticket. Quite possible people would buy a ticket there and not realise.

I didn’t say we played well, I just said that Bournemouth really didn’t play much football either. Individual errors decided the match in the end.

I’m quite surprised to be logging on to see so many people saying we were totally outplayed TBH. I think Bournemouth did a good job to hassle and contain us, but neither team really played any good football. Then we gave the match to them with two critical mistakes. Depends what you mean by outplayed I suppose. They contained us and ended up winning, so fair play. But without two critical errors it probably finishes 1-1.

Same with my Bruno and Joelinton socks. Sad times indeed.

Very important quote that, this is why I think our current form is much more than just momentum and confidence. It’s a mindset shift and a realisation that we have to think of ourselves as an elite club at all times. One who can compete with anyone but also crush the poorer sides.

The speed of the songs is a massive problem, said it loads of times. Just makes it so much harder to keep them going. Some kind of Wor Songs people directing things has potential, but don’t know how you set it up.

I was in the other leazes corner and it was alright there too. People were trying to get things going, just not enough takers to sustain it for any length of time.

Tend to agree, not sure any manager can whip these lads into a functioning unit.

I don't really know what to make of the design argument. I'll obviously miss SJP a lot because I've known it my whole life and I love it, but I'm not convinced there's something about the design itself that makes it a better ground for atmosphere etc than a newer one.
