1. If we were still winning I certainly would still be going mental. Can you clarify why you are going mental to me? I don't rate him as a manager, he is poor tactically, for me doesn't seem to be able to motivate very well. And for me it's more the symbolism of the appointment, basically we're not getting sold. Plus I can't see it being an appointment that will excite the players either. The players have been calling for him to be appointed, we all know he would have been here till the end of the season whether caretaker or not. Bringing in a new manager now would disrupt the team. Would you prefer Shearer? We couldn't afford for him to cut his teeth this season we need to push on, with hughton it's working and I've no doubt we'll go up.

3. I can imagine. Forest 1-0 NEwcastle "Get in there, I'm now going to stroke my horses and Polish my chopper"
4. It'll only be till the end of the season anyway or a rolling contract like JFK's. I'm not too concerned about this I knew the club wasn't going to be sold anyway so it's exactly the same so don't understand the overeaction, if we were still winning people wouldn't be going so mental.
5. You crazy fool, do you want to lose again, got to be Carrol and Ranger for me, don't think its a coincidence we can't score since they stopped playing together. Ranger creates so much space with his running
6. This will cheer you up then. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2009/10/19/mike-ashley-finally-takes-club-off-market-72703-24965912/
7. What is there to negotiate? You'd think Hughton was holding out for a better job the way he's going on Money probably.
8. remember another peter reid masterstroke, 'striker' milton nunez? £3m - 1 appearance 0 goals They signed the wrong Nunez apparently. The guy they got was a farmer. No s***. A farmer with 88 caps and 34 goals for his country? Well he fooled them for a long time. nah they did sign the wrong player, came from some 3rd division club or something. Bet when the bid came in their chairman was like, "fook, damn straight, we can now buy that coca cola machine we've been saving up for since 1973".
9. Don't think it matters what we want, we ain't gonna get it. More chance of Dave winning a header against Jan Koller than the club being sold.
10. France are crap now anyway, couldn't have hoped for an easier tie tbh. This isn't 1998.
11. How would that work have 2 extra teams in League 2? The clubs struggle to afford to go to away games as it is never mind 100 miles north of the border or whatever it is.
12. Not this bollocks again, discussed somewhere at least once per year. At present Rangers and Celtic would struggle to survive in the prem, a few years back they may have been midtable but they have declined so much. Gone are the days when Henrik larsson or Gazza would play there.
13. Not entirely. IIRC from my P.E. days an objects centre of gravity can have a large effect on acceleration and in tall people the centre of gravity is higher. Also, more friction is acting upon heavier people as well as more air resistance. You cannot possibly say it is all down to genetics and muscle mass. It included streamlining and turbulence and s**** like that too. Just look at a set of sprinters, most of them are fairly tall with loads of muscle mass. Alot is down to genetics aswell, people with a lot of fast twitch muscle fibres can generate greater short bursts of strength and speed but have poorer stamina. It's pretty obvious Ranger is built like that from his jumping and acceleration and the fact that naturally he seems to tire quite quickly. I appreciate that, but acceleration in particular is not entirely down to muscle mass and genetics which was my point. A select number of athletes who match your description doesn't necessarily prove anything in the general argument, because in society it is likely smaller people will have better acceleration, for the same reason as a motorbike accelerates quicker than a wagon. I appreciate that that argument also has it's flaws like... Its basically the same as a car, Power to Weight Ratio then aerodynamics. A Bugatti Veyron accelerates faster than a nissan Micra yet ways 3 times as much.
14. To the theme of Sharkey and George Ngo is pronounced engo. Ngo.. Baheng, the crime buster of North Shields. Ngo--Baheng, Will solve any mystery.
15. I dislike how he's become popular with the masses these days. His Facebook fan page went from 300 to 700 when he made his first start, soon people will be all "Have you heard about Ranger like?!" when we've heard about him since the day he signed. c***s. I hate it when an underground movement sells out and goes all mainstream. Yeah thats what I think about music, as soon as they are popular I lose interest. Baheng and Danquah are the future imo, Ranger is too commercial now, lost his raw style that made him famous amongst us hardcores.
16. Where to fook did they get 20m from, should just give it to Moat tbh.
17. Beye and Bassong I agree, but the others I don't really think we miss. I think Beye and Bassong are both fantastic, but we have replaced them in a much better way than we have the likes of Martins, Owen, Viduka, and Duff. I'm quite happy with our backline, but I fear our impotence upfront and on the wings could cost us this season. If we had any of those four right now, I would be able to breathe easier. We've still got the best striking options in the Championship though. Name a better one.
18. Liverpool may have spent small this summer but they've spent a bomb in recent years. I don't know the net spending but 25M on Torres, 18M on Mascherano and 20M on Keane all in the space of a year is a level of spending most other clubs have no hope of competing with. the effects of those yanks buyout are starting to hit liverpools spending and even with cl money their net spending is below a lot of teams this year. Though you are right rafas net spend is fairly big alright Of course it is thats why teams find it so hard to break the top 4. The CL money gives them a massive advantage which means it would be almost impossible to break nowadays without Billionaire backing. I don't think we need to worry about challenging for CL places, I'd be happy being in the UEfa every couple of seasons and playing some decent football.
19. I wouldn't be worried, Talksport are about as accurate as a Nicky Butt 70 yard pass.
20. Didn't just walk out on him tbh, walked out on us. Should have just went public with the story then Ashley would have had to either fire him or back him. OMG, give it a rest. Could have, should have, would have !!! Whats done is done, can we try to start looking forward, instead of going over again and again what's we cannot change Was just kidding.
