  1. Does that include trotters fans? I bloody hope not! Joking Well that answers me question Unless Gartside feeling flush mackems.gif
  2. Was class on Champ about 8 years ago. No nothing of this man in real life and never will. I often wonder how sites like this keep going, must be funded by the sun or something to add credibility to their stories.
  3. What press conference? I've not heard owt, probably just bollocks.
  4. So true, such s*** is talked about Newcastle fans being fickle and how we expect to win the league/silverware. I think if you asked 99% of fans they would say we just want a team we can be proud to stand behind, a manager who approaches the game in the right way... and a club that's run not too make us the laughing stock of the league. It's hard to believe how much has changed from the previous regimes... I just hope KK is a bit more robust and mature now and can roll with the downs as well the ups. There's nobody like him, so he needs to stick around for a long time yet. not gonna hide the fact i was a big critic of his appointment for a number of reasons but i have to admit i'm not sure i'd swap him for anyone at the moment, and i mean anyone he's slowly but surely putting the pride back in the club (i think morts tenure helped there also i must say) and we'll eventually lose the 'laughing stock' tag...personally i couldn't agree with anything more than this: "I think if you asked 99% of fans they would say we just want a team we can be proud to stand behind, a manager who approaches the game in the right way... and a club that's run not too make us the laughing stock of the league." never met a toon fan in my life that cried about us not winning trophys personally, that's for wankers like manu, liverpool & arsenal fans to get excited about last point about KK - one thing that really worried me about him was his demeanour at man city before leaving, he looked and sounded broken then left the game for 3 years so i had misgivings about him...they've been blown away, particularly when i think of it like this; he's older and wiser than first time around and appears to have a much greater understanding of the game (defensively particularly but also handling the press/pressure etc...) now than he did first time here, PLUS he's obviously still got the ability to motivate players like he used to if he continues in this vein and gets the players he wants i reckon he'll be here 5 years easy I was the same when he was appointed. He said he'd not been to a game since he left City and I feared he would be out of his depth in terms of tactics as I feel they ahve progressed so much since he left us and City. It seems you can get by with having decent tactics but letting the players express themselves in the way they want. He gets the players to play to their strengths and encourages them so much. I love seeing him on the touchline shouting "attack, take him on, do him" etc. It must give the players so much confidence because under Allardyce they where told to take no risks, under KK they are encouraged to and aren't punished if it doesn't always work out. A prime example of his philosophy this season is Guthrie, ok hes only had 1 p[rem game, but he looks entirely different to how he did at Bolton because there it was all about keeping the ball, for KK yes it's about ball retention but it's more about when you see an oppurtunity for a risky but possibly very rewarding pass you are encouraged to do so. The likes of Jonas, Martins, Owen, Guthrie and Duff will excel under Keegan as they can play the way they want and to their strengths.
  5. I knew he'd end up failing the medical. Tbh he could do a good job for Ipswich I'd expect him to score 10-15 goals at that level, we are screwed now, doesn't his contract expire next summer. He'll end up getting fit, we'll probably loan him out then he'll be off for nothing.
  6. If he signs, I will finally get an Owen jersey. This one? http://www.fansedge.com/Images/Product/33-59/33-59925-F.jpg
  7. How can we be baulking at his wage demands when it's a loan deal? UK tax is higher, hell probably want his contracted wages matched Net. yeah it is, not by that much though Knowing Real madrid's relationship with their government, they probably don't even pay tax.
  8. And if we're winning we should sing "Big Sam, You shoulda kept Big Sam, You Shoulda kept Big Sam" And if we're winning we should sing "Little Sam, You shoulda kept Little Sam, You Shoulda kept Little Sam" Nope, doesnt have the same ring to it And if we're winning we should sing "Big Sam, You shoulda kept Big Sam, You Shoulda kept Big Sam" And if we're winning we should sing "Little Sam, You shoulda kept Little Sam, You Shoulda kept Little Sam" Nope, doesnt have the same ring to it We'll just have to go back to "Five nil to the Newcastle, Five nil to the Newcastle"
  9. And if we're winning we should sing "Big Sam, You shoulda kept Big Sam, You Shoulda kept Big Sam" And if we're winning we should sing "Little Sam, You shoulda kept Little Sam, You Shoulda kept Little Sam"
  10. How can we be baulking at his wage demands when it's a loan deal?
  11. Quality change Bernd Schneider for Cantona and I'll be signing that. Jonas can, Jonas can, Do what ever a Cantona can, Can he score? Pick that out, We got the c*** for next to nowt...
  12. 750K? He's a touch dodgy at times but wtf? He wouldn't come to us last year as he's friends with Dabo due to Barton trying to nick his eye.
  13. Needs to play with someone quality. I know he was young himself but I think being with Woody at Leeds brought Rio's game on no end.
  14. Hopfully we can reach our total points from last season with 7 to go.
  15. AO: Tony, who are we buying? TJ: Sorry can't talk, i'm abroad, you know what the minutes are like over here. AO: Well, can you just tell me where you are? TJ: Sorry, what? Can't hear you Alan, i'm breaking up [rustles empty packet of crisps by phone] sshhhhchhshsh can't hear...signal weak...[hangs up] t***. I'm sure you could work it out if he sent him a text and put delivery reports on. I'm pretty sure it would tell you the country code.
  16. Wouldn't surprise me if Davies or Elmander are dropped away from home and they go one up top. We are just going to have to make sure our ball rention is good and try and get Martins and Jonas to get in behind their very deep backline. If they drop too deep for this we need to get men in and around the box and get some long shots off and hope we win the odd set piece and keep a short passing game going forcing them to run all of the time and tire much quicker than us.
  17. Just watched his interview on .co.uk. I fucking love him.
  18. Let's face it the links have dried up apart from the Saviola one. It's ok for us to speculate but I'd expect the next signing to be out of the blue completely or someone we were linked with several months back. The journos know as much as less than us.
  19. I doubt they saw this as a threat, they'd probably be focussing on Martin's pace and would probably not expect Martins to outjump their defenders along with the fact if they watched our crossing from last season they would have pushed more people along to the near post.
  20. There's probably a few dickheads on here who are gutted he hasn't broken his ankle, guess those who doubted his injury yesterday are looking a bit like c***s now. Just as things started to look positive. I hope he's fit for Bolton because unless we sign another cb it's going to be Coloccini and Bassong most likely if Cacapa is also unfit. Bassong looks decent but I'd rather see him against Coventry in a competitive match before we throw him into a league match.
  21. A ha, that guy earlier was saying sell the tickets through that scheme. My plan was just to sell them at face value.
