Why did he even need to inject 29m because we went down, yeah we lost TV money, but the parachute payments offset that a little and the TV money back then was nowhere near the level it is today, we also sold a bunch of players and a made a tidy wedge that summer and got rid of a bunch of high earners like Owen, Duff, Beye and Viduka. Crowds were very healthy during our year out of the PL (wasn't it 48k average) and of course we were back at the first opportunity. I don't believe every club that is relegated needed 29 million to survive one year in the fizzy pop league back then, we didn't even invest in the squad, the players that were brought in were loanees and bargain basement players, like Lovenkrands, Best, Willo and routledge. How the hell do the smaller teams cope, FFS Fulham spent 12 million on one player this summer ! These numbers we get from these guys don't seem to add up sometimes. We lost 35m while in the Championship. But sold about 42 million punds worth of players and lifted god knows how much off the wage bill. Arrgrgghhh its pissing me off!

Its really simple. Only spend on essentials. Player purchase funded by player sales. Everything else disappears into some hidden kitty. Why spend the money on extending the stadium when he doesnt need to. Just by keeping nufc in the league spins money

Doesn't each club in the prem league get 30 million + final league placings + extra cash for the amount your games are televised?? He could have easily have taken it out by now, over two installements and allowed the team to be imporved. Nah, sell before we buy. I'm also still confused over how much NUFC actually owes him, is it this 18 million + the extra 135 he claims he had to put in to stablise the club after he bought it?
