We are safe we can chuck both games for laughs.
  8. Fire him into a Blackhole.
  9. Correct. Its a pointless existence...Feels lije a US franchise. Just happy to exist in a league to turn a profit
  10. Massive game ban for headbutting in ice hockey. Its bad mmm'kay
  11. Ill lay my cards on the table. They will spend big and will ne near the top but they wont be the force they once were. Those days are over. I think moyes will be sacked next season and theyll be on the look for a new man. Itll be some time before they find the right man.
  12. But his overall business is doing well. NUFC is just a cog.
  13. Good question. It was a football club back then with ambitions. Regardless of its position. Do you remember? I wasn't having a dig, I genuinely want to know. I was first taken to the match in 1982, whilst not attending all the time i still followed the club mainly through CP40 and our old man. You couldn't escape Newcastle Unitedin our house. I rememeber the promotion with KK and Beardsley etc. It seemed fantastic and the buzz of promption seemed magical to a kid. I dont recal much grumbling about the board then... I remember things getting a bit sour with Jack Charlton in charge and the club selling Waddle, Beardsley and Gazza.. Not suprised with Jack Charlton as manager... but I still think we were one of the highest spenders one season, under Willie McFall, and were then relegated. I think a couple of failed promotions and money getting tight started with the McKeags...and fans wanted real change. But after all that it still felt like a football club, it still felt like it could be turned around. The dream of ambition and wanting to improve was always there , the previous boards did try but didn't have any money. But I dont think they were as sinister as Ashley's vision for NUFC. For me now, the club feels empty, devoid of anything, sterile, its just an advertising space for its parent company. Its not going to change anytime soon. Yeah, we are hovering around, lurking about he premiership...but to what end??? Its totally emotionless.

  15. Exactly what people said about Liverpool...how many league titles since the 80s? It's not the same, man. United's reach goes much further thanks to success coming at the right time, globally. The man utd and Liverppool dominations were in different times but the overall issue isn't always spending power. Its having the right people at the club at the right time. Liverpool still had massive clout at the begining of the prem but they never had a driving force like Ferguson and the support he had from the Man UTD board. Man Utd can have as much reach around as they want but hiring hobos like Moyes wont get you to the top of the pile.
  16. The only time he will sell up, if ever. Is when Newcastle United is no longer giving SD the exposure it wants. I cant see this changing for a long time. Sadly.
  17. Hasn't helped Wolves, didn't help Leeds..Barnsely, Luton, Swindon...the list goes on.
  18. We are advertising space forever. Nothing more than retaining a place in the premier league. Enjoy folks.
  19. Time will tell, this season was always going to be a wright off but they didn;t think it would be this bad. next season will be a better way to measure where they are.
  20. Exactly what people said about Liverpool...how many league titles since the 80s? That was down to bad management mainly. They still attracted big name players though and still won trophies just not the League. I mean how does a team like Liverpool attract say a Suarez? Money is one factor but im sure Liverpool's history is a big pulling power as would Manchester United's. I understand what you are saying, they will sign top players but it depends if they can get them to gel etc. Liverpool have havd some amazing talent but have only come close a couple of times. I just feel with Ferguson they've had the driving force behind them. Now thats gone, its going to take something special to re kindle the force. I dont think Moyes is it. He'll spend a wedge but I still think he will still be behind Man City and Chelsea.
  21. Exactly, Alex Ferguson is a once in a life time manager. He was a massive driving froce and there aren't manay managers in the world like him...I also feel that Man Utd are playing catch up to Chelsea and Man City now. Their squad has so many problems its unreal and i'm amazed how much Ferguson managed to get out of them at the by the end.
