  1. She looks a little like Natalie Portman.
  2. Those who are likely to stay Butt Nolan R.Taylor Shola Carroll Smith All three would be taken by prem clubs on he cheap, i wouldd go as far as saying Nolan back to Bolton on the cheap.
  3. The Norway one is muck, it looks like a really bad England shirt. If thats even possible. "hmm no that wont do fo the England fanboys, just stick Norways flag on it. No one will notice"
  4. Exactly. Very retro and impressive but the added red triangle makes it look like a girl scouts uniform. I like it.
  5. I think its classy, a strip for true champions.
  6. Man U one is smart, you got to love the super retro feel to it.

  8. what a load of s***. mort said keegan knew the system/situation and agreed to it before he signed. any talk from keegan himself about breaking world records was sheer stupidity. Your the one talking s*** - Keegan would not have returned unless he had been promised significant funds and control over transfers. Why do some people on here prefer to believe Ashley rather than Keegan, amazing really at what point in ashleys time here has he or anyone connected to him claimed we would spend "significant funds"? the club would NOT have said "here kev have £200 million m8" as a lure. keegan most likely came back for the money he would get, not spend. sad, but very possibly true. The 16 million quid they were going to spunk on the croation tranny?

No, he didn't agree to players being signed on Wise's sole authority. Cue the denial brigade....... http://www.milartgl.com/images_2_b/b_the_iron_brigade.jpg The Mike Ashley Denial Brigade "Theres Kevin Keegan!" "Quick get him"
  10. The same flawed reasoning keeps arising every transfer window. Now we are talking about buying players to get us out of the Championship, but everyone conveniently forgets that it doesn't matter how much money you have, if the players are any good they will want to play in the EPL and simply won't sign for us in the Championship. We will have to get used to the idea of losing out on signing decent players to teams like Wigan and Bolton FFS. We will then end up forking out a fortune for slightly above average players of Championship standard, with no guarantee of being able to claw our way back into the EPL. That is why it is essential we avoid dropping out of the EPL in the first instance. Please stop using EPL.
  11. Yup they are. Its gonna be painful. hopefully be something like west ham when they went down, if we're lucky, signing cheap young British based players with potential or more likely something to prove god forbid we go down the journeyman route, dean windass style Its alright we have Shola. the anti-journeyman Goal machine.

    SHEARER

We have more chance of seeing Adolf Hitlers minge then seeing Shearer standing our touch ine managing the team.
  15. You and TT keep making excuses for munters who are failing our club. Try using a bit of logic sometime. Pointing out where Keegan is to blame is not making excuses for anyone else. So you blame KK and not ashley?
  16. True, but in Reading's case particularly it was the squad that had brought them up in the first place. So they were already prepared for championship football. It'll come down to whether or not Ashley is prepared to take the gamble on us coming straight back up. If he is, which I suspect will be the case, he's bound to ensure those who are good and actually would be prepared to stay will be kept. I would hope. What gives you that confidence? The fact that he is a gambler, the club are worth far less in the Championship and he'll only ever get his money back if we're a Premiership club AND he'll be far more comfortable with a premiership status that doesn't require his financial support in the way of loans, cash injections etc. We are already in the prem and he has put that status at risk with penny pinching, what was needed was a bit of investment to stabalise a lumbering club (not talking about stupid champs league qual), then he could have put his plan into place. I really fear if we go down, things wont change in a lower division. Appreciated but my point (probably badly made.....) was that relegation may speed up the balancing act of salaries;turnover rather than trying to retain a premiership status by gradually losing your better, highly paid players as their contracts expire or you can flog them and picking up the Bassong's of this world. We could potentially get promoted and have a mini buying spree if we've got a better control over costs. All hyperthetical, and probably me talking a load of bollocks, but food for thought none the less. We can do that in the prem, one of SBRs first jobs was to reduce the wage bill when he first arrived. I can see your point in it may speed up the process of clearing the decks but would you want the added pressure of being a newly promoted team in the prem sniffing about players, getting the knock & having a relegation battle as soon as the season kicks off?? Worst thing that could happen to us is going down, I really cant take anything from it.
  17. Was it not 6.5, as we had to pay his loyalty bonus as he resfused to leave man city otherwise. I think man city were refusing to pay it due to his "problems".

  21. People only say Keegan left us in the s*** because of what went on after. Keegan didn't appoint JFK, Keegan didn't offer him an extended contract, Keegan wasn't the one who decided not to appoint a full-time manager and get on with things. Keegan isn't the one who has tried to gamble our Premiership future by cutting costs and not re-investing in the first team in January when we needed it. No, I was of the opinion that Keegan had left us in the lurch by leaving at the worst possible time, at the time. Keegan, is a principled football man, he wasnt going to stick around ashleys circus, once he found out what they were up to. Are you happy with what they are up to? No. But that doesn't alter the fact that KK left us in the lurch at the worst possible time. When is the best possible time? End of the season. People would have still moaned that we had to spend time looking for a new manager while we should be out getting players. Ashley and his munters have had ample time to steady the ship. Its heading for an epic FAIL. Ashley making bad decisions later does not absolve Keegan of anything. They're both to blame. Fan overreaction to Keegan's departure has been another part of the problem. Agreed, we could have done without people gathering outside SJP.
