KK before my time so probably not fully qualified to have this opinion, but surely Eddie is tactically the best we’ve had? Benitez was good tactically but Howe seems to be on another level.

Our best player, and that really is saying something considering some of the talent at the club. Wouldn’t swap him for anyone.

Watching the show and some of the things Amanda said made me think; if FFP wasn’t a thing, how much would we be spending in transfer windows? Bet it would be astronomical.

That is my worry too. Would hate for Howe to be a victim of his own success amongst the thick cunt element of our fanbase. I listened to a True Faith podcast at the start of the summer where Peter Silverstone and Eales said that regardless of where we finish this season, we are going to be in a better position next summer as a football club.

In fairness we played them just after the queen popped her clogs. Was worst atmosphere of the season. I remember going to the Etihad 2008ish when we drew 0-0 and the atmosphere was class. Proper rowdy. Ages ago now like.

Genuinely wouldn’t swap SJP for any ground in the country. The fact it is different eras all bundled together to create something special is typical of the city of Newcastle - a great mix of everything. Hope we never leave even if it means I get to one game a season for ever. It is part of our identity. Everton’s ground may look like it’ll be lovely but give it a few years they’ll be pining for Goodison I’m sure.
