Bill Clinton is giving the final pre-vote presentation for the US, we're planning on... Park Ji-Sung I'm sorry but I can't really imagine us edging the Americans given that scenario.

England is only in for 2018 I believe. Ah, wait, I get it. I'm Korean, "us"=Korea confusion resolved
  4. Stopped reading after this, we don't have the personnel for such rubbish. 4-3-3 is the only way for England to go. Carroll - biggest aerial threat and best header of the ball in the league (also a big f***er) Rooney - 27 goals last season, many of them with his head and supplied by Antonio Valencia (a proper winger) Crouch - 6,7 Bent - very good in the air Kevin Davies - nuff said Jonhson - winger Lennon - winger SWP - winger Downing - winger (and one of the best crossers of the ball in the league) To suggest we don't have the personnel for it is ridiculous. We have exactly the right personnel for it. Arguably, that's the only formation you do have the personnel for.

Unnamed source has told our media that it's between us and the Yanks for 2022 apparently.
  6. On current form wouldn't even get into the Newcastle side, which is pretty damning when you consider where he's been hype-wise the past few years
  7. I hate being a sissy but I'm now genuinely worried about how long we'll be able to keep him. It seems that every hyped young english player starting out at smaller premiership teams in the past five years has without exception been poached by bigger clubs. Ex) young, downing, bentley, johnson

I can visit you guys in 2018, you can come to Korea in 2022. Perfect arrangement Nobody around here thinks we have an ice cube's chance in hell of winning the bid. Would be astounding if we did just for the sheer WTF factor.
  9. Who's only lasted this long because he was one England's "next big thing" and therefore earns a stay of execution. I give him till the end of this season.
  10. South Korean U23s slaughter Chinese U23s 3-0 at the Asian Games. Chinese newspaper leads with "national team loses to biggest rivals!" A bit rich really, would be a bit like Darlington claiming to have a derby with Newcastle.
  11. Working on it. In all seriousness though, I don't know if anybody has a home record worse than ours but a lot of teams have had shock results at home around the league. This is of course ignoring the fact that us losing to Stoke or Blackburn and drawing with Wigan and Fulham don't even qualify as "shock results"
  12. Nah, I was just trying to do my best impression of you mostly.
  13. One positive, I suppose, is that a lot of players would have been put off signing for us in the summer because they assumed (rightfully) that we'd be a complete shitshow this season. At the very least we've showed that we're not that, so maybe some player will have changed their minds. Still notoriously hard to sign anybody in January though. I was very hopeful for major winter signings in 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 and got disappointed severely. I had no hope whatsoever last year and got pleasantly surprised. Expecting nothing again then.

Just noticed the mirror? These meta-Ronaldo comments have been appearing at a frankly amazing frequency as of late.
  15. To be fair, we're not the only ones dropping points at home to sides we "should" beat. It's a crazy season.
  16. When I decide to be negative, I don't do it fucking halfway.
  17. Oh well, no points at Bolton then. That's fine, we can start again in the bottom half after getting destroyed at Chelsea.
  18. To be fair, we weren't the ones who brought it up. Fair enough. I just skimmed the thread and haven't bought a newspaper in about 5 years. Who suggested it? Think it was in the Mirror or something.
  19. Pretty much nobody can pull a 15-goal-a-season Premiership striker from out of their asses with anything less than 10 million pounds. It's going to be tough come January. I can already see myself pulling my hair out when there are no signings by the 28th.
  20. Lee Chung Yong is good. Lee Chung Yong is awesome. Lee Chung Yong is skillfull. Lee Chung Yong. Lee Chung Yong. Two assists. Lee Chung Yong...
  21. To be fair, we weren't the ones who brought it up.
  22. decent performance, sometimes things just fizzle out. Oh well.
  23. In Carroll's post-car-burning form he's really been one of the best strikers in the league. So umm... Thanks to the fucking classless idiots who did it I guess.
