  1. As if anything Mike Ashley says ever means anything. This. Shearer - as s*** as he was in his 8 games and his 8 games only here before - I wouldn't be too unhappy with him returning. I would certainly welcome a Shearer return because I can't help myself, but aspersions have to be cast upon how well he gets along with "this group of lads." Particularly given the central role Barton plays in the dressing room.

  3. So we'll put you name down for a protest? Like I said, I admit that I don't really have the ability to be a part of this discussion because of where I am. What I said above is what I think though. Not trying to be funny with you bud, but saying the fans should protest, even if it costs us relegation while not attending yourself is ridiculous imo. Maybe, but that's what I think. If I could I would.

  5. I was vehemently against the boycotts last time, but I have to say I've changed my mind. I think we need to accept at this point that this club is never going anywhere with Mike Ashley in charge. If he is allowed to stay he will eventually run us to the ground in one way or another. If boycotts and protests mean relegation this season, then unfortunately I think that's a price we need to be willing to play to convince him to leave. And yes, I realize that I don't really have a say in this, but that's my opinion.
  6. I don't think there's anything I wouldn't do to excise the plague that is Mike Ashley from my club. It's like watching a close, loved relative getting possessed by a pedophile and being forced to do his bidding.
  7. I realize I'm a complete idiot for saying it and I'm only doing so because I'm emotionally distraught right now... ...but the "FC United of Manchester option" doesn't seem like such a bad idea at this point.
  8. No manager is taking us anywhere under Mike Ashley. You know what? NE5 WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG!
  9. To be fair to Ashley, Pardew has plenty of experience at failure.
  10. So, who do you guys think he'll go on to have a great career for?
  11. In some ways it's worse because we know exactly what we'll be going through in the coming months. Back then at least we had some false hope to cling on to.
  12. Not only did Mike Ashley sack a decent manager, he sacked the only decent manager stupid enough to want this job.
  13. Surely we're looking at having to prevent a mass exodus now? Can only imagine how betrayed the players must feel.
  14. I look forward to watching Ashley get refused by manager after manager for the next month until he finally goes begging to Shearer, who subsequently tells him to fuck off. Actually, I don't because we'll get 0 points during that period and it will probably result in Joe Kinnear.
  15. God help me, but McClaren would be one of the best appointments we could make at this point.
  16. Has anyone seen his twitter? "Thank you Chris Hughton for trusting us when nobody else would."
  17. Come to think of it, didn't somebody mention some daft rumor at some point about Ashley wanting to sack Hughton so he could appoint Beardsley? ...
  18. You know what the funny thing is? We don't even have an assistant manager. In fact, I don't think I can name a single remaining member of our coaching staff. Who takes the reins for the next two months while Ashley and his motherfucking band of idiots stall over which third-rate manager to appoint?
  19. No. We can't attract ANY manager really. It's either going to be Kinnear or someone else who's way past it and desperate to get back into the game.
  20. When they don't want the club, they make terrible decisions. When they want to stay at the club, they make terrible decisions. Just fuck off asap, thanks.
  21. It's fucking pointless discussing this though, nobody's going to want the job. Look back at our last three years under Ashley: the sacking of Allardyce, driving Keegan out of town, the shoddy treatment of Shearer following the relegation, and now this. Literally nobody in his right mind would ever take this job. So I suppose that leaves Joe Kinnear.
