  1. He does when he's focused, but that only happens on certain days. (ie, whenever he played against Newcastle)
  2. My lord, they've got absolutely nothing on their bench save Kalou.
  3. If we're actually going for this, it would probably be best to bring Barton on for Vukcic at halftime.
  4. The same Drogba that's sat at home watching it on the telly? Having to sit on the bench before coming on is for mere mortals, obviously.
  5. Let's be honest with ourselves. They'll bring on Drogba at halftime and he will crucify us with his god-like powers.
  6. We are dominating Chelsea. At Stamford Bridge. With no real central midfield. And Shola up front. My brain can't process this.
  7. Knee-jerk and all, but Shane Ferguson could probably be our second-choice LB starting immediately.

    Nile Ranger

His conquest of English, nay, World football begins now.
  9. NILE RANGERQOWEI$U)(@#$&)@(#*$)(!#*%)(#@*%)(#*%)(!#&U^()!#%)(!#$*)(!#* :fwap::fwap::fwap::fwap::fwap: Are the servers going to explode now?
  10. I see Smith has developed a sudden penchant for the Nicky-Butt-style meaningless long pass.
  11. We might have actually been dangerous this half if we had literally one single midfielder who can actually pass.
  12. I can forgive Shola for being shit, but I just can't understand why he's so not bothered. Never looks like he's trying.
  13. Ameobi showing off his brilliant technique and class finishing.
  14. Aside from completely fucking the fuck up for the fucking goal, Ranger has looked pretty decent.
  15. Why am I staying up at 3:45 in the morning to watch us lose to Chelsea's second string again?
  16. Krul, Kadar, Campbell, Coloccini, Taylor, Jonas, Tiote, Guthrie, Ben Arfa, Ameobi, Lovenkrands
  17. yes, if it wins a trophy. god man, so many people complain we haven't won a trophy is donkeys, then treat this competition with comptempt. Good point actually, the two cups represent the only realistiic opportunity smaller cups have to fluke a trophy in this day and age.
  18. Makes me think. If Perch doesn't get any better and Simpson isn't coming back anytime soon, should we do a Maradona and play him at right back?
  19. I think it's decent as an opportunity for bleeding in younger players on the fringe of the squad. Of course it's pretty useless when you have no youth talent to speak of, as we did up to a few years ago, but now I appreciate the fact that we'll get to bring on the likes of Vuckic and Ranger alongside regular first-teamers in a high profile environment.
  20. Fact of the matter is that most of us just decide at some point what we think of a certain player and everything we see of him from that point on is just filtered to match those conclusions. i.e. Milner can't cross, Given has terrible kicking, Nolan is unfit and slow I'm not saying that Nolan is amazing or anything, just that football fans tend to interpret performances to fit their conclusions, rather than the other way around. For all we know the Prozone stats could say that Nolan covers the most out of anybody in the squad. (I doubt it, but hey, anything's possible)
