  1. West Ham slowly giving back what we've borrowed them. Is Kieron Dyer next?
  2. Colo Reminds me of Wigan during the relegation season in the way they've managed to systematically remove our two best players at once.
  3. Great (accidental?) stop by Krul, Tiote shows Yaya Toure what real black power is.
  4. Jonas reminding us that he's a god-damn Argentina international and to even entertain the prospect of picking Kevin Nolan or Wayne Routledge ahead of him is fucking madness.
  5. disgusted by their tackling. They're like the negativity of Big Sam and the dirtiness of the Italians rolled into one, only with players who cost 5 gazillion dollars.
  6. JONAS :fwap: Okay, never mind, I love football again now. Howay the lads.
  7. Cruise control for them now, Milner does a Chopra to stop it from becoming two.
  8. I feel like I'm about to witness a 5-0 morale annihilating loss and the start of a bullet train ride to relegation. The relegation-o-meter thread will explode and I'll be right in the thick of it because I fucking give up now.
  9. Am I allowed to be devastated that for the first time in ages, I've lost all hope the the team I'm supporting might be more than a bunch of grafters holding on for dear life? Ridiculous foul by Williamson. What a worthless match this is shaping up to be.
  10. Shola Ameobi and Kevin Nolan are never beating that defense in a billion years.
  11. What's the point with Football anyway, all it gives you is misery. Oh, and Krul is shaky as fuck.
  12. I'm so disgusted I don't even want to watch this now. The first little piece of excitement we've had at this club for ages, so obviously he's taken away from us. He could have been brilliant this season, kept us up, moved on a permanent, and been the next Ginola. Now we might as well just send him back to Marseille since with our luck he's probably not only out for the season but just fucked up his career.
  13. Why bother, obviously God hates us and being an NUFC fan is punishment for people who where child rapists in their previous life.
  14. Alternatively, we'll get a result against Man City and people will forget that this thread even exists... Until the next time we lose of course. The atmosphere here has been stunningly bipolar this season.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Precisely. I thought HBA was brought here under the premise he would play behind Carroll. Routledge, HBA and Gutierrez is a strong attacking midfield imo. Having to accommodate Nolan is the root cause of all our tactical disjoinedness really. Big test ahead for Hughton.
  16. I don't see how Simpson is significantly better than Perch really, he was looking about as good as Perch is right now in the Championship (minus the yellow cards and the OG.) Unfortunately, it looks like RB might be a problem position for a while.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

If we're going to stick with the absurd 4-5-1, there's really no justification for not sticking Ben Arfa in the middle anymore. Fuck it, play Nolan on the wing if you can't drop him.

    Joey Barton

Creative passing into the box is always a crapshot, just happens that none of his 50/50s came to anything today. Needs to stop belting it long to Carroll whenever he can't think of anything better though. There were so many times today where the team kept possession for long periods of time with some good football, then Barton got the ball and decided "fuck this, let's just hit it up to Andy and hope he can beat the fucker standing next to him."

    James Perch

Disregarding the OG, he's a decent right-back with a terrible disciplinary problem. I suppose I'd be content with him as second choice.
  20. That's what I was thinking. I was wondering could he have even tried to claim the cross that Perch headed in. In fairness to Tim though he was hardly tested all game. Agree with Ronaldo actually. I thought Krul was the biggest liability in our team today. f*** off man It's absolutely clear as day that he's not used to starting at this level yet. Had a bad game against Chelsea as well. We all know he's a great shot-stopper and I certainly hope he can grow into the job, but as of this point in time goalkeeper is a huge, huge problem for us.
  21. I stand by my thoughts. Too much s*** still at the Club. Hughton not good enough. You should put loads of money on it like Ronaldo then. ...Oh, wait.
  22. In any case, I don't think anyone disagrees that a striker is needed in January. I was like everyone else and let myself believe that Carroll up front with Nolan behind was the answer after the 6-0, but I was wrong: the front two doesn't work at all with the rest of the team and that's clearly the biggest problem in our tactics right now. We need someone who can either play with Carroll or challenge to push him out of the team.
  23. He's dropped Butt, he's dropped Smith, so I guess the final test now is if he drops Nolan. I've tried to convince myself that our captain is a good player, but the more I look at it the more he's the ultimate square peg in our team's round hole.
