Whilst he speaks fairly well (when I saw him interviewed from his Wigan days), he is an absolute disgrace of a footballer. Not blessed with quality, just the ability to run and to dive into opposition players. There's not many players I wish injury upon, but he (along with De Jong) should be on the receiving end of their tackles tbh. Always will be Clattermole to me

There is absolutely no excuse, none at all, for not signing a leftback. We've had all summer to sign either a replacement or an understudy. We almost got the latter only through trying to exploit yet another contract clause, and when we found out we'd actually have to pay money for him, the deal was dead. Still wondering if we'll sign the two require players we knew about since January, and people are still defending this policy of zero capital outlay. Do me a favour.

Any negative feelings are obviously magnified and exacerbated by the gaps at left back and up front. That, and the ridiculous speed at which Forster has been replaced, in contrast to Enrique and Carroll. My word, I'd even accept a League One young LB if it was made clear he's one for the future whilst we secure a first choice LB towards the end of the window

Having given this 'person' the chance to prove my prejudices wrong when he replaced Hughton, he has become a parody of himself now. There is no excuse for the local journos to rip Mr Pardew a new one, and question him on all his ridiculous lies, backtracks and suppositions. Before this signing, I would have said about 10% of what Pardew says is actually of some merit, the rest being total poppycock. Now, he has no credibility left whatsoever IMHO

Problem is, most of the people standing defiantly are just kids tbh. Turning round not bothered about the match to see if they are impressing their mates and fellow peers, and winding up the stewards. It would be different if they stood more often and sang and supported the team, rather then standing and shouting abuse at fellow fans and police. Oh, and I'm not against standing at all, and I truly sympathise with the situation of the displaced L7, but taking it out on fellow fans is not the way to go about things. And when I said those around me who were unable to stand for long periods of time, I don't mean those who are elderly, but those who have medical conditions.

Load of nonsensical rubbish in the sun

Didn't appreciate some of the 'ultras' (i.e. 15-18 year old kids) trying to stand all the time, and when asked to sit down told us all to f**k off as they'd be there all season...despite the fact most the people around me have been ST holders for 20-30 years, and several of them have mobility issues so can't stand for the whole match. And before I get a berating, the kids in front spent half the game with their backs turned to the match and instead were winding up the coppers and the stewards behind us.

Quite worrying that seven of the first 10-14 threads are regarding players either outgoing, transfer listed, or knackered. Can only see two players coming in, with 3-4 outgoing after Enrique.
