  1. Tbh I'd forgotten about the Isak supporting thing. Don't care about it really. I also wouldn't mind if he hasn't got much of a left foot as a LW. Problem is, he does nothing with his right foot either. I remember him cutting in from the left onto his right, and scoring for England. When was the last time he scored like that for us? Just don't get what his game is about apart from running and then doing nothing with the ball. All while Barnes is stuck out on the RW.
  2. This. The money we spent on Ramsey should be returning much more, too. You don't spend over £40m on a player to be a slight upgrade on Longstaff. We're crying out for creativity and guile. Not runners.
  3. I love Eddie. He clearly cares about the players, he 'gets' the club and the region, and he's a brilliant coach. But he HAS to be open to criticism about playing so predictably, with a lack of plan B and creativity with in-game management. And it goes without saying, he shouldn't be trusted near transfers ever again. I hope he turns it around. But stubbornness to reasonable criticism isn't helpful. Nor is clearly being favourable to players who aren't producing.
  4. This is the issue. Good players will leave and we won't be able to attract good players. Keeping powder dry is fine, but don't waste money by panic buying and complain later. The amount of investment needed in this squad is crazy.
  5. Seriously, Gordon needs dropping for a while. We look so much better without him. Surely Howe can see this.
  6. Barnes left. Elanga right. Woltemade for Wissa. Gordon has had no output again.
  7. To use the phrase: you've seen them given. So he's at least a little lucky.
  8. How the in the world do you wait until the 85th minute to have a shot on goal against the bottom side? Our play has been honking for a while now. There's no creativity. Just runners. Bruno aside, I don't know what our midfield offers. Our most productive player isn't in his best position because of loyalty to an unproductive one. We have a fast, PL-proven striker who couldn't hit a barn door at and looks lethargic. We bought a No. 10 and we play him as a No. 9. We've spent ridiculous money on chaff. 3 wins in 14 away games is not good enough. Howe needs to change his system and tactics, as this isn't working. He needs to get ruthless and creative. Not loyal and stubborn.
  9. If we don't end up with at least a few shots on target against this lot, it'll be genuinely disgusting.
  10. On the contrary though, I think there's still a decent amount of people who want him to do well. Of course we do. I think tomorrow would be the best opportunity for a while for there to be freedom from pressure. But he has to start doing something - anything - beyond which we've already seen.
  11. Almost at the evaluating stage, hopefully progressing to the weighing up stage, but certainly nowhere near the preparing an approach stage.
  12. Being good sellers means absolutely nowt if we're vastly overpaying for average players, though.
  13. For me, this was exactly the intention. Fast, proven PL goalscorer who can hit the ground running.
  14. There were much better options outside of the PL. Or at least, equivalent options for much less money. I don't think anyone has a problem with Elanga. It's more signing him (when there were alternatives, eg Akliouche) for so much which is the problem.
  15. We're not spending anything on a defender, let alone a striker
