We've beaten ourselves.

This genuinely could get rather bad for all involved. Howe will continue to back him, and I just don't see a good player in Elanga. Plus, we won't sell him (especially so soon) for less than we paid, and there's no way any club is paying that money for him. There is no good outcome here.

A shot!

Not for the first time, unfortunately. I love Howe, but he's not helping himself.

60 min substitution klaxon
-
What a shit cross that was.
-
Elanga FFS.
-
Need to wait until 60 mins
-
We might start trying to play now, though. Hopefully.

Wow.

Gordon...

I'd love to know what the question was, if the answer was Elanga. Genuinely would take Almiron back in a heartbeat.

Yes! -
Elanga - 2 Ramsdale - 5 Thiaw - 9 Ramsey - 3 Woltemade - 8 Wissa - 2 Yes, harsh on Wissa, but for what Elanga & Wissa they cost, we've had naff all on the pitch so far (albeit for different reasons).
-
Yep. Thiaw and Woltemade are definite positives. Elanga, Ramsey, Wissa are shocking value when you look at quality and availability of them. Especially when you think what 150m could've bought outside the PL. Getting Ramsdale is okay, I'm neutral about him, mainly since we haven't seen him play despite Pope being way off it.

Ramsey, Wissa, Elanga. £150m+ and we have gone backwards. Losing two wingback cannot be the reason our play has gone to shit. Pope, Burn, Trippier, Bruno, Joelinton, Tonali, Gordon. When did we come to accept regularly turgid performances from them. Eddie has credit in the bank still - just. But that was horrific. Terrible in game management, and far too loyal to players who aren't giving their all. We don't seem to have a game plan anymore. Is it intensity? Is it counter attacking? It feels like it's just run around and hope something comes off. Something is fundamentally rotten. -
Peter Silverstone gone, apparently. (Chief Commercial Officer)

I agree with your Elanga point. But I just can't shake the feeling that this is coming - albeit perhaps not exclusively - from some of our players not giving anywhere close to 100%
-
Woltemade looked knackered before half time.
-
He talks a good game, I like his candour in interviews, but he's been poor far too often, for far too long. Needs to earn the right to start.
-
Probably harsh, but I'm getting fed up of thinking 'this will be the moment Elanga will come good' when he gets subbed on.
