we've only lost nolan so far but yeah it looks like barton and jose are probably on borrowed time too fuck it, at least something is happening how many times have we heard it - if you don't move forwards you're moving backwards in football
-
in ashley's world though it seems wages are the big factor, perhaps they should be in all our mind tbh so let's say they're all on 50k p/w he's just laid out 7.8m per year on the three signings (nolan would have to come off that of course) i'm not saying this is how things should work but in all probability it most likely will be and that makes these 3 signings so much more important 'm expecting one more signing at or above the 10m mark tops personally, any others i think will be like naylor

fucking hell i was half asleep when i switched on and missed Marveaux!! it's all taking shape nicely, would like to see another CF & MF of a similar pedigree bought (Matuidi perhaps) to add some depth and then we're looking in pretty fucking decent shape tbh one thing stikes me - these lads aren't just signing for the money imo, pardew has kept intimating a plan and it looks to me like it'll be based heavily around getting good value from the french league and hoping we can build an atmosphere and unity with them all could be risky, could be a fucking masterstroke i'm starting to get excited again, shit

need 4 strikers man: ba + new, then best & sholagoals in that order of starting place would be pretty decent imo ranger and loven (less likely) get to fuck can't see how people can expect any more than that tbh

Modric. ahahaha - fuck off spurs

very good business so far for - promising striker for fuck all and a french international midfielder with an engine and heaps of potential to upgrade on nolan's immobility big to them so far, let's hope it continues with another 3-4 coming in and no-one else worthwhile leaving to be fair if they manage to ship out any of smith/loven/guthrie/shola then it has potential to end up a great summer really...smith on a free to WHU, howay man do it fat sam

good good, now let's move on and spend some money please

Aston Villa appoint Alex McLeish as new manager

  so we're not the only club with an erratic radgee for an owner at least -
more likely he'll want to make him look like a cunt by skinning him within an inch of his life tbh
-
man city games could be interesting next year, you'd have to imagine he'll be fairly motivated to perform

Star wars, imperial march. that's class!

that's totally fair enough, then they should go the other route and invest in a Whickham for the future - someone who might cost a bit but might turn out great the alternative is chasing gameiro's and then the club sitting back on 1st september and saying "we tried but no-one wanted to come" if we can't buy very players then let's buy one's we can make very good players at least ffs They haven't done that though, they done exactly the opposite. They got the pursuit of Gamerio out of the way very early, leaving plenty of time for other targets. One of which they've just got for free. well as venkman says we'll see won't we - i'm on the side of fool me once at the moment and we've been fooled more than once by these fucking cowboys in the past and yet still have hope in them ba is a good player and a great deal for the club, if he's our main hope next season i don't consider it good enough when we have 35m in our pockets

I know what you mean, [b[i just don't see why everything positive has to have a massive caveat tagged onto the end.[/b] Ba is a good signing, he's better than all our other strikers. Let's judge the other business on its own merits. it doesn't, but it absolutely must be judged with reference to selling a player for 35m and then promising to invest that money into the squad publicly ian, i'm sorry like but it fucking does Fair enough. I just think Ba is a good signing and there's no reason to be down on it because he didn't cost £20m. aaaaaargh which part of "criticising the Ba deal is stupid 'cause it makes good sense on every level" is me being down on the ba signing?

howay man ian thought better of you, how can what i said be construed as a moan ffs? i'm speculating on a number of possible outcomes that's all, ba's a good signing no-one is saying he isn't

there's decent enough signs to lead me to think he might be the best striker we bring in Those being? where we've gone since the g+g deals fell flat on their arse maybe they'er biding their time to move for the next (2nd) first choice target but don't see why they would unless ba and erdinc are it

i see nothing wrong with expecting another signing up top with Ba - criticising the Ba deal is stupid 'cause it makes good sense on every level but if that's all we get for our 35m then we've been pretty much fucked in the arse by MA/DL and anyone not seeing that is trying too hard to be objective i'm afraid
-
tt's right for me, i reckon they're aiming for a massive overhaul in the way we play and that is determining who is sold as well no more passengers - a much more dynamic and athletic midfield to able to break up the opp play and move the ball quickly upfield to a very mobile attacking 3 at least that's how it looks at this stage
-
Maybe he wants a solid centre to build a team around. It has been a while since we've had a centre like that. also i think cabaye is seen as an attacking signing the way pardew talked about him, 4-2-3-1 looks the likely scenario to me, have strong mobile protection in front of the back 4

where's the concrete link to this guy then? or is it from "the chronicle understands" type jive sell nolan replace with this guy, might settle a few nerves
-
Cant imagine Barnetta will come cheap. Bayer have just qualified for the Champions League. 1 year remaining on his contract. MA/DL the vultures start circling, like a sniff of blood to a shark

Perhaps kill yourself... Pardew sympathizer What the f***?
