  1. Is he actually questioning it? Thought he was just incredulous at how stupid he was being. Yeah, does someone have something on the guy? Why does someone wake up one day, put on stupid clothing, and then decide to completely end their career and possibly expose themselves to criminal charges? I just don't understand what happened. The youtube video says it was a secret recording, so if he didn't mean the video to come out, who did he think he was talking to? Why did he dress this way?
  2. "Today I think I will openly talk about my extremely illegal acts with this dodgy figure with questionable credentials. I also think I will bring highly incriminating video evidence along with me and openly discuss this."
  3. A country with five times the population of Britain and much lower money per capita is not simply going to tidy up everything because of a football tournament. If you are expecting Luxembourg next summer, you will be disappointed. What you can expect is massive amounts of money and man power being put into making the atmosphere at matches pleasant and every thing possible to be done by Brazilian authorities and FIFA to ensure the safety and comfort of visitors in areas directly affected by the World Cup. Personally, I think a lot of this is scaremongering by the Western press, even though legitimate problems do exist. This narrative has been going on since the day Brazil was awarded the tournament.
  4. If money can make South Africa work, it will easily do the same for Brazil. This is bad, but nothing compared to the Ellis Park incident. The violence on the streets in probably worse in SA as well. Ellis Park wasn't necessarily violence was it? I thought it was overadmittance and a stampede. The random poor, hooligans filling those stands will likely be no where near any WC venue. It will be filled with rich people like Felipa~o. South Americans aren't any more predisposed to violence, anyway. Poverty, alcohol, and ignorance bring it about. The concerning issue would be the general incompetence of the officials in handling problems, but I seriously doubt the infrastructure for this match will be approaching anything seen in 2014. It will be beyond anything previously implemented in Brazil, just as it was in SA or even Beijing 2008.

  6. Ecuador is one of those altitude-aided teams, correct? If so, I don't see much coming from them. Actually, I've just checked. They were undefeated at Quito (the highest capital city in the world) and didn't win any matches elsewhere during qualifying. I think decent sides will expose them at sea level.
  7. Is Guadeloupe an official member of FIFA? The French players with that heritage could combine forces to create a quite formidable side of French rejects, with Distin included.
  8. I don't know. They have a squad full of overpaid, overrated, and underperforming players with vast experience in England and foreign imports who haven't been given time to adapt, will have had a bad experience (the manager they came for was sacked within a month), and will probably want to leave the league. I can see a lot of personnel change and dysfunction.
  9. I didn't think he was spectacular today. Just steady as he has been in every appearance this season. Amazingly, the other United did not put much direct pressure on our centrebacks at all during the match. Unsure if this says more about Newcastle or Manchester.
  10. The past is the past. I've not been particularly fond of this manager at points during his tenure, but in the present day, he is doing a good job and has been for some time. It isn't just results, either.
  11. The only problem is that he can't play on the right. Never mind protection. Sissoko and Debuchy have been a force and a real partnership going forward.
  12. I wouldn't want to lose Debuchy for any extended period. He's been the best player on the pitch of all 22 in the match.
  13. We consistently are beaten in the air on set pieces. It is a bit of a problem. Williamson is big, but doesn't really help it.
  14. Cabaye and Sissoko rubbish all match, and then they combine for that. Sign of class attacking players. Terrible from Evra, btw.
  15. Don't think he's been especially bad, tbh. Our midfield isn't holding up at all right now. The team is being dominated in that area. Should have been a penalty on Anita, imo.
  16. Minnow, ffs. No one feels pity for your struggles. Win the matches or don't. Why the anger? Sorry, the word annoyed me. Talk to the 180 or so teams that will be at home. South Korea as minnows. A team that has qualified eight consecutive times and made a semi-final. You should be favoured to exit from your group and should have a decent chance of the quarterfinals. You should not act surprised if you accomplish it and should feel disappointment if the result is anything less.
