  1. OM-OL is dreary. I remember when both of these sides were good. The 5-5 was only a few years ago. Lacazette and Gomis have been decent anyway, if we are trying to sign them.
  2. I don't think Ben Arfa "offers less" than any of those players. Their styles of play and defensive abilities (in terms of Yoann and Moussa) are simply more suited to the way we have decided to play lately. It is not a situation like with Cisse, where his performances have been so poor that he simply cannot be started. Honestly, if the results had been different and the performances similar, I believe Pardew would have put Hatem back in the first XI by now. He is reluctant to change a winning formula. Really, I think one player is still very much in our plans, while the other is one that the club should/will look to replace.
  3. Tbf, I doubt anyone was looking up at the top of the league after the way last season ended. Any movement would have been with the intention of staying up and consolidating a midtable standing. It's still rubbish that certain needs weren't addressed though. I believe the season ending top four will be exactly the four holding those positions currently. The order will change quite a bit, imo, but I see none of the other sixteen sides challenging for the CL.
  4. Paulinho and Dembele shouldn't be sieve-like given those players' reputation and the roles they have played most of their careers. Bastia have been rubbish in the second half.
  5. Spurs' first goal is embarrassing. Suarez runs past 4-5 Spurs defenders after he makes that first pass. None of them entered a jog at any point. At what level is that acceptable?
  6. West Bromwich have really lacked a talisman upfront this season, imo. Last season, they had Lukaku finishing off and creating numerous chances. The two seasons prior, Osaze Odemwingie was quality and got around fifteen goals. Long and Anichebe both work hard and serve a purpose, but they miss having genuine quality in the area. For a team like that, who will create little, it is crippling. It is harsh on Clarke, bute things have not worked for a while and they are now in serious danger. There is more ability in that squad than in 5-6 of the other teams, and a simple change in voice or a slight alteration in style could change things.
  7. I generally agree, and have been a fan since his arrival, but he's declined in form since the turn of the New Year (December to January) and has put in some questionable performances this season. Nice player, but no where near as good as he should or could be. It is annoying.
  8. Three matches for violent offence is a nonsensical rule in the first place/=.
  9. It isn't the day to slate this boy, tbh. Not that I don't agree with the general sentiment.
  10. Decent game. NUFC were very dangerous in the first half, but didn't offer much at all in the second until allowing Southampton to score. NUFC easily could have scored 2-3 in the first 45, but couldn't have begrudged a loss in the 2nd, imo. Ratings: Krul 6- Poor distribution as per usual. Stood tall when necessary as per usual. Debuchy 8- Did very well at both ends. Williamson 7-Strong in both boxes Coloccini 6- Mixed bag. Caught out a few times. Santon 5- Error was unlucky and magnified by the what resulted, but that's football. Fine otherwise. Sissoko 6-A bit wasteful given the positions he found himself on a break. There are times when he really looks out of place going forward, and others when he looks brilliant. Anita 8- He's not Cabaye (they have different games), but he did what he does very well. Simple forward thinking balls, good movement, and good feet. Tiote 7- Good. Not as good as the last few matches, but still more than adequate. Gouffran 7-Worked very hard and had a very composed finish. Didn't provide too much attacking otherwise, though. Shola 5- Didn't provide anything, imo. He's been good of late, but it was ineffective today. Remy 6-Below his standards. Should have scored. Still a good outlet. Cisse 6-Not really int he game at all. Ben Arfa 6- A few very good moments, one poor decision, and one hesitation when he should have shot. Fine overall, needed more time. Haidara N/A-Nothing to do.
  11. I thought he made one poor decision and was perfectly fine otherwise. He came on for twenty minutes and created two or three dangerous situations.
  12. He's f***ing special on two-on-ones, eh? I know Santon gave it away, but he was well if our half, ffs. Their pace ripped the team apart far too easily.
  13. Obligatory shot of Hart after every City save.
  14. It could easily be the first few levels of council flats. Looks like the place where my uncle lives
  15. Everything related to QPR is rubbish. Maybe the tenth most relevant club in their city. Also, yes, Loftus Road makes Craven Cottage look like Nou Camp and RFK look like Allianz.
  16. So were Dortmund Freakishly difficult group. its beyond belief that Naploi can go out with 12 but then you have Zenit though with 6. UEFA need to fix their seeding system It is not UEFA's fault that Porto underperformed. That was a difficult group on paper.
  17. It was only two years ago, OM managed not to embarrass themselves and made the quarterfinals. This is shameful.
  18. Milan could have conceded twice already This will be a war.
  19. Puma has put out some ugly African kits in the last few years, but at least those are interesting in some way. Addidas always gives Nigeria some standard green and white shirts from some template. Most of them would have looked like training gear if not for the NFF badge. This one would would be boring as well, if not for the strange colour (why are their two greens? The flag has one green.) choice. I would like to see what Puma could do.

I am actually kneeled and praying that this is not it.
  21. Why does June 14 have four matches for no obvious reason?
  22. Do Manchester City need 1 or 2 more goals to actually win their group?
