  1. definately no peno for blackburn, pathetic dive from Bentley, No peno against van persie for me,

What the hells a "peno" ? The italian for penalty or something ?

you mean you have never said "peno" when you can't be arsed to type penalty?

  2. He doesn't need the ref's permission to come back on in that circumstance. But if he's off the field of play I thought he was then inactive, making Heskey offside. That's just what I thought the rule was.

that contradicts itself. What would you say if a player walked off the pitch to make another offside? would he then become inactive?

  3. I thought Carvalho wasn't active as he was off the pitch, making Heskey offside.

but he was intending to come back onto the pitch to win the ball, he is still involved in play. So what if heskey had been off the pitch too and the ball cam in and he stuck a foot onto the pitch and knocked it in?

To win the ball? He wasn't anywhere near close enough to get to Heskey.

he was still moving towards heskey. From what your saying then when a player goes off the pitch he becomes inavtive in play and therefore he should need the referee's permission to go back onto the pitch.

  5. controversy today.

Heskey- definately onside, Carvalho was still intervering with play.

2 penalties in Arsenal blackburn game- definately no peno for blackburn, pathetic dive from Bentley, No peno against van persie for me, definate dive and i think the ref thought so too after making the decision because he gave a yellow card to the last man

I wrote this in the newcastle=substandard thread. Strangely enough the formationa appears to ahve come true but did the 2 midfielders play as i expected they would?(i didn't see the game)

how about this idea....... playing Emre on the left doing the job that zog was so good at last season, which was running into space and cutting inside often to create space and pick out players in and around the box. Then play Butt DM and Parker in a more attacking position allowing him to run about and win the ball aswell getting forward like he did for Charlton?

  7. I'm in the same boat as Soccer Master tbh. He's done well of late but...

Newcastle 1-2 Fulham ... should be 3 more points

Newcastle 1-1 Everton ... should be 2 more points

Newcastle 1-2 Bolton ... should be 1 more point

Boro 1-0 Newcastle ... should be 1 more point

Newcastle 0-0 Charlton ... should be 2 more points

Newcastle 0-1 Sheff Utd ... should be 3 more points

There's 12 rediculous points (atleast), imo, that we should have picked up no doubt. But gradually he's turning around.

Still not convinced, though. The Carling Cup game wazzed me off. To put it politely.

What a load of crap? What club doesn't drop points?

Every club drops points... but some of the points dropped there were dispicable. Just backing up my reasons for not being overly keen on Roeder, that's all i'm doing. People question my dislike of him so i'll come up with the reasons. Deep, you really ought to give it a rest with your recent vendetta with me.

To be fair, yes we did drop points but i don't think the team played atall badly against Fulham, Bolton nor Charlton (i watched these ones but couldn't comment on what i saw on MOTD for the others) and it was really just down to us not being able to score from our chances created and a few awful defensive errors but we really did play well in these games in general. I don't think we are playing hugely better now as a team than in these matches stated it was just down to confidence in front of goal and at the back, something that obviously builds with form, which we now have.

  9. re: Parker, I think he's a very good player. Always suprised at the stick he gets on here but then you all see him more than me.

I dare say he is our 2nd or 3rd best individual player but he simply doesn't fit into our tactics and so he gets stick unfortunately.

I agree with this in principle. I think he is a good player who, in the right setup, could do a very, very good job for someone. Fact of the matter is, we're a worse team when he plays. Despite this, I'm still surprised at some of the vitriol he receives - he always works his socks off.

    i agree mate

thank god, allah, and whoever else scuppled this mistake before it could be made

I would certainly buy them a pint or two.

    Does Allah drink?

Thought he was a tee total boring sod?

ah maybe a couple of virgins or children to prey upon would be more suitable for him/it/she/?

  12. In defence of Mr. Brummie, i've always found it strange that fans don't mind slagging their own players off to high heaven, but when a fan of another club does it they get all defensive.

I've always rated Emre and always will, many fans have slagged him off and decided he has had a poor game before he has even kicked a ball, up until recently when everybody's all of a sudden up his arse. Emre is a quality player and Brummer boy hereis trying to tell me that it's only toon fans that rate him when that is a complete load of shite.

It was more of a general comment.

    ok fair enough mate

  14. And Emre and Parker are rated nowhere outside the north east (except briefly in the mind of McLaren, and that says it all, really).

You speak for everyone outside the N-E then do you?

I know plenty of people who rate them. And I'm neither from the N-E nor have I ever lived there.

Yes, of course I meant it absolutely literally, all, what, 53 million of them.

Where did I say you did?

I don't get what you meant. Who are these people who don't rate them?

Errm, the bit where you suggested that I speak for everyone outside the NE, maybe?

The point i was making was that in my experience, Emre and Parker are not seen as particularly special players.

Turks rated Emre "their greatest ever player" when we signed him, that accolade has perhaps now been passed on to Tuncay but still you get my point, actually judging by some of yours posts you probably don't, ney mind eh.

What has that got to do with my point that he's not actually that highly rated outside Toon fans?

well perhaps i'm being really stupid but i don't think the Turkish nation supports newcastle.

  15.

    Villa's CL class players:

    Petrov

    end of.

Baros, Barry, Angel, Sorenson, Mellberg are all good enough for the CL.

Barry & Mellberg, the others are soft.

If that's the case, Taylor, Solano (their best player the season before last), Milner (their best player last season) N'Zogbia & Butt could all join the list below.

    Given

    Duff

    Emre

    Martins

    Owen

    Parker

Butt? A few half decent games and he's quality again? Oh and if you are going to include young promise like Taylor and Zog, then in that case I'll add Ridgewell, Davis, Agbonlahor and Gary Cahill. If you're including injured players, I'll also add Laursen.

And Emre and Parker are rated nowhere outside the north east (except briefly in the mind of McLaren, and that says it all, really).

i honesty don't think your squad is anywhere near as good as some of you think it is, I really don't. I've already mentioned the defence, and up front you're about as lightweight as it is possible to be.

re Baros and Angel as mentioned above, you're right on Angel, he's had more chances than any player down here and has never delivered consistently. Baros i think can do it, he just needs a change of club, it isnt working out for him here.

Ridgewell is no better than Ramage, in fact he's shite, dont pass him off as one for the future  Was it him giving away all the pens 4 in 4 games or something?

Cahill again same boat, might as well put up Hunty in there if your adding him.

Laursen is a joke, a one played on Villa, i might as well chuck in Bramble FFS! bluelaugh.gif

Have you seen Ridgewell this season? In fact, have you watched any football this year? He is a player transformed. The penalties you refer to were last season. I'd also point out that the Actim stats rate him as the 39th best player in the Prem this season so far, although there are two Villa players above him. Incidentally, the highest Toon player in the list is Ramage at number 99.

Cahill is a superb prospect. Excellent defender and an eye for goal. And if Laursen is a joke played on Villa, what is Owen? Just because he is injured doesnt make him a bad player. And Laursen will be back in January. When will Owen be back?

So Ridgewell has a good couple of games and he's the best thing ever eh?

What kind of timescale do you end form and class starts at?

If Butt isn't allowed to be called for his class after 10games even with so many MOM under his belt, how come some shitty Villa defender can be classed as a CL prospect with only 19 game under his belt, how many of them were MOM?

That just shows how weak your evidence is my friend, Ramage our best player this season

I'm not saying Ridgewell is the best player in the world. I'm pointing out that to say that Ridgewell is "shite" suggests you havent actually seen him play this season.

must have been his shite twin then.
